The outward appearance of this country hotel were so inviting. . Nice gardens, swimnming pool and tennis court not to mention the llamas, sheep and ostriches in adjacent fields. Unfortunately the hotel was a letdown. Really disappointed in our overnight stay last night. Place smelt musty. Stairs to bedroom very steep and no extra grab rail which could lead to...

The carpet outside our room (3) was so threadbare there was a hole which is a danger. We were out for the whole of the day and our room wasn't cleaned. The curtains were hanging off the rail, all they needed was a few hooks. Breakfast was ok.

If the "chef" here is being held back by budgetary restraints then he needs to get another job. If this is not the case then he needs to go. Totally unacceptable ingredients made worse by the cooking. Everything seemed to have been reduced to the lowest common denominator. From the frozen chicken goujons (3 in number - 50 pence max...

We stayed at the Boship for 2 nights- this was a great hotel, very quirky, welcoming and a great atmosphere. Firstly the manager and a staff member called Victoria could not do enough for us to make our stay a great one. The first day we got placed in a lovely quant room and had a romantic setting all set...

Probably one of the worst "hotels" I have ever stayed in..3 nights offered or had three rooms. 1st not ready or still occupied, 2nd toilet would not flush, 3rd no heating... gave up trying to get another and just made do. No evening meals offered or seen. Only tried breakfast on the 1st morning, didn't bother for the other two....

No heating, breakfast very hit and miss. Staff not at all helpful at breakfast. No heating in room. Dinner on second night was in the very cold bar and food not very inviting. The only good side were the grounds with its minageryof animals.

this is a place where you feel the need to wipe your feet on the way out. The building needs tlc! I came for a few drinks while staying at the Travelodge across the road and I was shocked at the state of the place.

Quite a wakey place, in need of a bit of TLC, bed comfortable, breakfast good, heating a bit high, surroundings a bit odd. Staff in the main were good, great if you have kids and they like duck, alpacas, lamas etc.
