Having seen all the good reviews, I booked for a week. As soon as I walked in to the bar, I knew I had made a mistake. Although the landlady was very friendly, the bar was "tacky" and the room even more so. Although apparently clean, a musty smell and grubby feeling prevailed. I actually left a day early as...

This place has incredible charm and old English Spirit, albeit a bit warn. It does have a bit of old school character to the bar and and rooms and if you can stand some of the serious imperfections, than you won't be disappointed. Let's start with the ugly.. The hotel had no heat whatsoever at night. It was turned off...

Friendly staff , great food. Relaxing break. Room three has a balcony , that looks out onto main rd. Was great to look out early morning. Lots to do nearby and the hosts Jayne and Andy are really knowledgeable.

This is very local to me so thought I would give the food a try (even with the pubs bad rep). Well I shouldn't have bothered. Food disgusting and greasy, not pleasant and the whole party agreed. Staff rude and inattentive. Toilets are disgusting and have no locks ! This place is a shambles will not return !

Old charm. Great friendly service upon arrival.the room was simple, but clean. Free wi-fi! Ate supper downstairs and it was fantastic! It was very reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable and we had an amazing night's sleep. The breakfast the next morning (free!) was fabulous. Thanks Bay Hotel.

Came here for a long weekend to just get away from our daily life schedule and have to say we were not disappointed at all. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a friendly face. Check in was very straight forward and took just a matter of minutes and we were in our room...

It is always interesting to pick a place and hotel from a map & see what happens. This was great. Just about 20 meters from the beach, mostly stones, not sand, but a beach with history dating back to 1066. The hotel had off-street parking and the welcome was wonderful. The room was up some stairs and to gain access...

My partner and I were looking for an old pub with character that had free parking, free Wi-Fi and breakfast included. We weren't expecting much as the cost was alot lower than other hotel in the area but were pleasantly surprised. Yes the pub looks old and dated but that's due to the fact that it is an old pub....

The hotel bar / restaurant looks dark as you enter from the sunny outside; takes a little while. Realise then it has a lot of dark wood all round the downstairs areas. Doubt there's much going to be spent on decoration as the locals continue to frequent the bar & one of the competitors has 'gone'. Staff are pleasant, &...
