Just returned from 2 wonderful nights at the Bell one night in the moon wild room, which was enormous with the most fantastic bath and second in lodge, pour L'Amour, which was even more amazing. Large room sofa and private outdoor area. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept on. Everywhere was clean and well kept and the...

Sayed here one night during a business tip. The rooms are large and cosy. Mine had a balcony and a tree in it..Apparently some of the rooms have trees in them, which isn't the only quite original feature... Just use the mens room in the bar which has french horns as urinals... fantastic! The food is excellent, both dinner and...

Hello ralf_Staphanie and thank you for taking the time to write this review of your recent stay at the Bell. I'm delighted that you liked your room - all those in the main building have a tree in them as a reminder that the area was once largely forested. Hopefully, you'll come back and see us again soon, but in...

This review is a little late, sorry! The Bell is such a fantastic, quirky, friendly pub. I visited with my girlfriends for the first time and knew then that if my boyfriend was to propose we HAD to get married there....and in January 2016 we did just that! The food and drink was just fantastic, the guests were all impressed....

Stayed here for one night. Lodge was fantastic with all the mod cons that you could need. Large comfy bed and a decent bathroom with shower and bath. Lodge also had a small private outdoor area with a log burner, which was perfect for cosy evenings under the stars. There was also a mezzanine area to the lodge which had...

Myself and 16 friends/family recently attended this beautiful pub for a Hen party. One of the function rooms was so beautifully set out, the food was first class and in such a lovely location. We had all pre-ordered our meals, all of which arrived promptly by lovely staff. Definitely recommend!

This pub has obviously been lovingly restored and has some fantastic quirky features such as a pile of books which act like a pillar in the restaurant and the men's toilets are worth a visit ( not normally something I would recommend). Although the bar area is small the Manager we think his name was Howard did a great job...

We stayed for one sleepless night in 'Benefit of Doubt', which I imagine is a room given to 'one nighters'. All night there was the sound of what would seem to be 'ventilation' noises and the green staring bulb for the fire alarm bathed the room in green light and made if impossible to sleep. While I accept that a...

This was our second stay at The Bell, after loving it so much first time round (approx. a year ago.) We booked another of the wonderful, slightly eccentric lodges in the garden, staying in 'Pour L'amour'. The rooms are great, with lovely flourishes such as handmade scones, and very individual decor. The (fake) flowers in the ceiling give a real...
