Finally managed to return to the Greyhound for Sunday lunch. The first time was many months ago but the roast beef dinner I had then was the best I had eaten in a very long time. The beef was meltingly tender and the vegetables brilliantly cooked. I was a bit apprehensive that the meal to come on Sunday last weekend... More

This should be a really great pub and I'm amazed it gets the customers it does. The pub is scruffy and the landlord spends his time wearing dirty T shirts , baggy shorts and flip flops even when he is serving food which is less than appetizing, bar staff also looked scruffy. To be fair the sandwiches we ordered were... More

We booked three rooms here for a Saturday night. All the staff we met were friendly, attentive and helpful. We attended a wedding in a nearby village but on our return we were greeted warmly in time for a drink at the bar! The bedrooms were clean and comfy, as it is a barn conversion the floors do creak but... More

Having stayed in a number of pubs with rooms the Greyhound Inn was a pleasant surprise. Set in Wadhurst the pub is well kept, looks well, and the rooms spacious and clean. The staff team were very helpful, in particular Emma (behind the bar)was professional and welcoming. Excellent value and one of the few I would stay at again.

Wife and I stayed here for one night due to attending a wedding locally. My main gripe was the £125 cost for a night. Yes, it's in Kent but there was no value for money here. If the room was £65, I would have been satisfied. Rooms are converted barns. While quaint, it was damp and low beams were a... More

Went to this village pub with my mum for lunch in July. There weren't many people in there but it took nearly an hour to prepare two simple sandwich lunches. The barman was new and took ages to place the order at the bar. The food was very nice when it came but we then had to ask for cutlery... More

Was in the area for a wedding and paid £125 to stay in an outhouse. The room was cramped and damp smell pervaded. Storage heaters were ineffective and one light didn't work. Everything a bit shabby and no soundproofing between rooms. Toilet was dirty on arrival. We were not informed of wifi password and the surly person who serves breakfast... More

Check prices before booking I paid more than I expected. Our room was booked by my future sister in law (we were there for her wedding). When I questioned the bill with the proprietor he was not interested. And we have no proof, as with many bookings its verbal.

I was in the area with a friend and heard that The Greyhound Inn was under new management so we thought we would give it a try. Located in the centre of town with ample parking, the pub provided an ideal base from which to explore the area. The room in the stable block was very clean, spacious with an... More
