Took the family here today. We had roast lamb, Brie and bacon baguette with chips, pasta with garlic bread and deep fried Brie and salad. All perfect sized portions, tasty food and reasonably priced. We had all of that and four drinks for under £40. Would definitely come here again.

This is a lovely inn run by a lovely family! The night I was there they treated everyone to free hog roast and live music. I didn't stay over, but I think if you are looking for the ultimate English countryside experience, this is a really good choice, because you have a proper pub with traditional English food, in the...

I am absolutely fuming. I booked a room here at the beginning of May for a local wedding through booking.com. I have just received an email from them to say the booking has been cancelled as the overbooked the rooms. This is completely outrageous and unacceptable as there is no chance of finding accommodation at such short notice near to...

We were ever so sorry your booking via a third party resulted in an over booking. We try our best to encourage all guests to book directly with ourselves, as we unfortunately have no control over third party bookings and any problems that can arise with these bookings. We are working very hard on a new website that can take...

We stayed here for a couple of nights to attend a family wedding at nearby Wadhurst Castle. From the moment we arrived, we were well looked after by Steve the landlord, who was very friendly and helpful, organising a late taxi/minibus to bring us back from the evening `do`. Breakfast was very good and we would certainly stay here again...

Nice country pub in lovely East Sussex countryside. Excellent food with very clean decor, surprised it wasn't busier. However will definitely visit again when in the area. Recommended, so worth a visit, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Offering accommodation too.

We stayed here recently for one night. Staff were friendly. The room we stayed in was very large and there was plenty of hot water. Scaffolding surrounded the outside of our room. The double bed was two singles pushed together. The quality of the food was poor, and the beer tasted funny. Fruit juice was served in cartons for breakfast.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We apologise your room had scaffolding around it at the time. Our external building was damaged by storm Katie. Unfortuantely scaffolding is the only way to fix large buildings such as the Best Beech. I am sure you can appreciate that events such as storms are completely out of our...

Had a lovely Saturday evening/ B&B at the Best Beech. Comfortable room, really good pub grub, very friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you're in the area and fancy a pleasant, relaxed night. There are some really nice walks around the area too, beautiful scenery.

We stayed here for one night when we had to come to the area for a funeral. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a fridge with fresh milk provided for tea and coffee and also bottled water. We ate in the evening and the food was excellent with a good selection.

We stayed for a weekend and ate an evening meal in the restaurant. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our meal was well prepared and very tasty. The food is "straightforward" and there was a good selection on the menu. The service was prompt, friendly and the staff seemed to be genuinely keen that we were enjoying our meal,...
