The trip started well, I went with 4 adults celebrating my 30th along with my twin sister. We were upgraded to a better room which was great! It was spacious, clean and well preserved. We made our way to the Spa but had to do a U-turn as the facilities were packed and we had to wait until we could...

I cannot fault the staff for their politeness( though I wish I could say the same for some of the workmen by the chapel.) Wonderful staff and spotlessly clean rooms. Great breakfast and evening meal. Fantastic grounds.

Visited this magnificent hotel this weekend for a company Christmas party. It is clearly a wonderful place to stay. The food was outstanding and the hotel and staff are lovely. Would recommend this place to everyone.

To celebrate a significant birthday, my wife chose to return to this grand hotel and invited our close family to share the beautiful surroundings and a special event. The staff accommodated all our requests and nothing was too much trouble. The arranged transfers to our event ( outside the hotel on the nearby Bluebell Railway) and for breakfast ensured we...

Stayed here with my other half for the night a few weeks ago as a gift from work. Staff were very friendly and attentive, really couldn't fault the service and professionalism. The room was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the acres of land surrounding the hotel. We had a table booked for 7:30 in the restaurant and...

My partner and I stayed overnight whilst attending a charity ball It was a pleasant experience from arrival with valet parking. The various staff all charming and helpful. Check in was efficient and accomodated my extra wishes. We have stayed before and it has upped it's game. The suite was comfortable with a good view of the park. Not sure...

We stayed overnight to celebrate a special birthday and were treated "special". Free upgrade to an amazing suite it was worth the long trek from reception. The setting is just beautiful as is the surrounding area of the forest. The colours were amazing!! Staff were very polite but sadly quite a few of them only spoke broken English - we...

My husband & I have just returned from our 2 night stay at this lovely hotel. Our accommodation excellent, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food was first class. We both had a full body massage from a little French lady name Sylvie it was one of the best that we have ever had.

This used to be a nice place, but presumably to save costs of running such a big old building the place is now staffed almost exclusively by very young and inexperienced staff, many of whom clearly do not have English as their first language making communications a little difficult at times. The receptionists have a superficial pleasant exterior manner, but...
