Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've stayed at Brentwood Premier Inn before. I like the location for visiting family who live in the area. Overall this visit was good. Value for money, comfortable, cooked breakfast was good, staff are reasonably pleasant. Cleanliness of the room no problem. BUT...the sofas in the lobby need a good vacuum in between the cushions to remove the crumbs, crisps and other food debris. Also why are the dinning tables sticky? It's like they haven't been cleaned.

Sarah and Molly behind the bar and in the restaurant were amazing. Their service was ace and I saw their hygiene standards first hand…Top of the range. Two hard working members of staff that should be rewarded. Lovely food as well, nice touch with the fresh chilli.

Very poor, it is a tired hotel and the heating system is dysfunctional, they had numerous portabel heaters in reception and in the dining area, but were unabel to give out heaters for the room. :-( The staff seemed 'worn out' as they had numerous guests complaining. This old hotel needs major investment to upgrade the facilities.

We were so happy to book this hotel due to its price and location especially as we are a family of 5. When we got to our room they had given us some unexpected treats, for both the kids and also myself as it was Mother’s Day weekend. Fantastic. Breakfast was delish too and a brilliant selection.

I am fed up with this Premier inn, it is a disgrace. I have been using this location for 12 years. My wife is buried close by and I like to travel over from Ireland to tend her grave. Every time I visit, there is an issue. Usually it is a key problem and/or aircon problem. This time it surpassed itself. Walked into room, curtain us off the rail (since repaired). Heating not working. I reported this three times and was never repaired. The last reception operator I reported the issue too said "I will have a heater sent to your room.. Never was. The indifference in her manner was priceless. The toilet seat is far too small for the bowl. The toilet was really difficult to flush. Unfortunately if you need to stay in Brentwood town centre there is not a lot of choice.

Very convenient location near train station, good breakfast, clean environment. We even used the bar in the evening, it had a nice atmosphere. Very quiet when in the room. Felt safe. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I really liked how lovely and helpful the staff was. I loved how the Elizabeth line was right next to the hotel. Even dough the hotel is right next to a busy street, I didn’t really hear a lot of noise at night. The food was amazing. The had a few vegan options. I would’ve liked a proper vegan dessert but other than that I really enjoyed my time at the Premier Inn in Brentwood.

This hotel is a waste of money. You pay just to sleep for a night. Parking isn’t free. Bedsheets are not done properly, one bedsheet was just folded and put on the bed. Window is so dirty you can’t see outside. Staff are not very welcoming. They just look at you as extra money. No politeness. Nothing included in the money you pay. There is not even a fridge in the room to store our baby’s milk. Just a bed and toilet. Never coming back.

I have stayed in this hotel many times, mainly due to its location in Brentwood. As it’s only for a night, due to bring out socialising with friends until late, it was suffice. But this time there were some issues. The bar didn’t open until 5pm, which didn’t go down well with most people, the toilet was a mess and had to be shut to be cleaned, my room had the bathroom falling apart, needs an upgrade, and fire alarm went off in the morning, with no explanation. I personally think the hotel could do with an upgrade, and the bar opening at 3pm like before.
