Nice hotel in an excellent location. Perfect for a recent visit with the family for a friend's 50th Birthday party. Clean and comfortable. The owners were lovely and the breakfast superb, and at a good price too. Thank you, we'll definitely come back next time we visit Chelmsford.

We stayed in a large Family Room which was well equipped. The property has a good car park which is free. The owners were very helpful and made a lovely breakfast. Its very close to Chelmsford Town Centre which was very handy. Would definitely stay there again if in area.

We received a really friendly welcome and had a lovely large family room. Breakfast was great. The hotel is in an excellent location, with free parking and a very short stroll to Chelmsford town centre. Everyone in the family are looking forwards to returning.

We had a wonderful time staying here. We were in Chelmsford for a party which was just down the road. We arrived a little early and we were going to park and walk into town, luckily when we arrived our room was ready so it was nice to be able to unpack straight away and get showered and ready for our evening, the showers were brilliant. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room on arrival. Comfortable beds and lots of space in the bedrooms. The couple running the place could not do enough for us! They were delightful and tended to our every need. Full English breakfast the next day was well needed and it was delicious. Would definitely stay here again

What a lovely quaint hotel the Bosworth House is. We were down in Chelmsford for a party and the hotel was just a couple of minutes away from the venue. Just what we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and the shower was great. Also as a bonus, parking and breakfast come with the fee, there were no hidden extra charges. My partner is celiac vegetarian and that didn't seem to phase them. They made special arrangements so her full English breakfast come gluten and meat free. The breakfast was delicious with continuous refills of coffee. It was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend it if you're ever staying in Chelmsford.

The house was having the heating system replaced in December so this was a two night break escaping the cold for warmth and so our five year old was away from tools. We therefore enjoyed the comfort of the family room for two nights. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely warm! Traditional breakfast and everything that we needed for our two nights as a family away. The owners kindly ensured toys were in the room to help make our son feel welcome. A classic fun family night of no television and just relaxing playing connect four was the result. It is not often when local that you stay in a nearby hotel but pleased to have picked a family business rather than one of the chains. Delighted to recommend to anyone seeking the traditional bed and breakfast experience.

We were looking for a convenient place to stay in the town centre, and yet again Trip Advisor did not let us down, as we chose Boswell House based on previous reviews. Our double room was a really good size, with en suite bathroom, and in quiet position as requested. Always a number one priority for us - everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed ensured a comfortable sleep. We stayed for 4 nights and so enjoyed a few breakfasts, prepared just as requested. Another important factor was parking. Finally, Stephen and Andrea are very professional yet friendly hosts. We would be very happy to stay again when next visiting family in the area.

Visiting friends and family in the area and we wanted somewhere that was handy for the station and also somewhere to park my car. This hotel fitted was spot on for us. Such welcoming owners and helpful owners. The room was so clean, breakfast great too and catered for allergies and it didn't seem like anything was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in staying her again.

An excellent family run hotel. Warm and welcoming and can't wait to repeat the experience. I honestly can't think of any faults. Clean tidy and everything and more one would expect from a two star hotel. In fact not sure why not three star.
