Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past and I have to say the breakfast offering during my latest stay was not value for money. Nothing was replenished in a timely manner. At one point there was only a few sausages and some bacon on the hot plate. Too many people to be serviced by the limited members of staff present. £10.99 per person is really not value for money from my experience. I would look elsewhere for your breakfast before you part with your money.

Customer service was superb at this Premiere Inn. Alison and Marcia were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help. They were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and looked after. The people in the kitchen and the manager made a point to be polite and cheerful too. I was really impressed with the facilities. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was excellent. We didn’t have to chase for them to keep the breakfast items stocked up. Overall an excellent experience. Would highly recommend and will stay again. Thank you Marcia and Alison 🙂

The bed was so comfy. Pillows were soft. Friendly staff. Able to look after my bags even though check in was not open. Shame I had to come home. Were able to answer any questions I had. Good view of the car park and the sea front. Not a far walk from anything

Hotel fine. Bed good. Breakfast waste of time and money. Too many people for one chef to cope. Got moved from the table we sat at and took so long to get served didn’t get full breakfast. Toast went cold.

Allison and Denise gave us a friendly, welcoming dinning experience. Thank you!! It's our first time in clactoon on sea and though there wasn't many places to eat out, so choose to eat in the restaurant, best decision we were served by Allison and Denise who bossed the floor and reception making sure everyone was given a friendly attentive service. The food was also really nice.

Our room was spacious with a great view of the pier. The room was quiet too. Bars & restaurants nearby & the beaches at Clacton were great too. We used it as a base for cycling the Painters Trail around Dedham AONB with a bit of seaside as a bonus

We have stayed at this hotel many times before, normally only for an overnight stay, whilst picking up Our granddaughter from Clacton, as usual, the hotel was clean and tidy, as well as the room, the lift was out of order, on this visit, no doubt it’s been mended by now, the staff as usual were very helpful. No complaints here whatsoever.

I was looking forward for the stay Bath tubs and sinks were running very slow almost near to be blocked. Free Wifi was the worst I had ever come in any hotel ever, the one with stronger signals was for a cost that should not be the case as I a premium plus room booking. I was an disappointed stay
