Three comfortable nights working 10.5 miles away in Essex was very hand location, the hotel room was modern and fully equipped, room service was excellent despite me forgetting to put the “Clean my room please” one day before leaving the room the room was made-up etc.. One issue was at the check-in again as it happened so often in other...

Have stayed several times with work and tried various rooms from cosy up to suite, in both the original pub and in the modern annexe. All have lovely bedding, decent/pleasing furnishing, large wide-screen TVs, good wifi, good bathrooms and excellent breakfast. So, no complaints at all! Have never eaten in restaurant (or had the room service) but its excellent reputation...

My wife and I stayed at the Bell Inn on Horndon On The Hill for two nights arriving on Friday 28th of October and departed on Sunday 30th of October and after reviewing online decided to book the "Stables". Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the reception staff and than escorted to a small courtyard nearby where our accomodation...

Really worth starting here. Friendly staff and a beautifully set up hotel. Our room was lush with a fab bathroom. I liked how the pub, restaurant and hotel are at the heart of the village and really work together but create defined spaces. Taxis to Orsett Hall where extortionate mind £15 to go 1.5 miles!

We called here for lunch while out for a day in rural Essex. The greeting on arrival was friendly and the barman helpful in sorting out drinks and a table for lunch. It wasn't busy but a bit of an issue was made about us not having booked, I did wonder why, had it been busy I could have understood...

A friend had enjoyed a meal here a few weeks ago so three of us decided to have a meal early on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately we were rushed through our meal as it was obvious that the waitress was keen to seat another group at our table. We arrived at 7pm and by 8.30 we felt we had to...

We were visiting family and friends in the area. Stayed at the hotel. In reception the owner chatted to us and he made us feel very welcome. Rooms were of high quality, bathroom was luxurious . The pub was homely and welcoming. Continental breakfast was high quality and even my husband , who normally hates yoghurt raved over the home...

I try to stay here whenever I can which is pretty much every week IF I can get in as the hotel rooms are always booked up in advance, and it's understandable as the Restuarant although not cheap serves fantastic food, I must have stayed here 10 times over the last couple of months and the rooms are always nice...
