Second time I stayed. The first time was a last minute booking after realising our southend on sea accommodation was horrid. The second time was taking children. Location was great. Didn't use the airport, but was very convenient for the train line Slight problem with the hotel is that it doesn't have rooms that cater for a family of four, however we were more than happy with our connecting room. Rooms were pleasant, clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a bit of an issue with our bed which seemed to dip in the middle. Eventually decided to report to reception and someone was up in 10 minutes, and arranged for it to be fixed when the room was serviced. Issues if hotels can be hard for them to detect until reported, it is how they handle the reports that I judge and they were exceptional. Breakfast was great overlooking the airport. The selection was great and was also very accommodating for gluten free. A shame is that the overlooking airport is mostly dead now, but I think it is still recovering from covid. I will continue to book this hotel whenever I am in this part of the world. Great staff and great experience.…

We went as a family of four and got an adjoining room for extra space. It was a really comfortable, clean and spacious stay. The kids could sleep/ watch tv while we could get a restful night sleep! The breakfast was brilliant, great choice and good alternatives for non dairy users! Would absolutely stay again. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Must add the restaurant is great, exciting overlooking the airport a hit with the kids!

My family and I traveled from the US to attend our dad’s funeral and the wake was held at this hotel. The staff was amazing in every way and made the event and our stay unforgettable. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every employee who had a hand in setting up this memorable occasion for us. In addition, the rooms were clean and well kept. Breakfast the following morning was wonderful. Along with our British family, we would like you to know that we appreciate everything that was done for us from beginning to end.

We held a family occasion here and it made sense although local, to book a room for the night too, friends and family also travelled from near and far so enabled us to have breakfast together the next day. Staff were happy and willing to help if needed, some went above and beyond. The venue was perfect for our requirements, the buffet was tasty and hot, staff listened and heard, and ensured everything went smoothly, the room was comfortable and well equipped and a hearty breakfast was exactly what was needed the next morning. Thank you to all the staff that assisted in helping to make the day go as well as it possibly could.

Stayed here on a Saturday Night, for a family party (elsewhere) The room was very comfortable, bed especially. Shower was good everything clean and tidy the only criticism of the room, was the shaving/magnifying mirror, in the bathroom would be better if lit, and the back of the mirror was thick with dust! The staff on reception, were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Yanet was just a great! Very disappointed that the overnight parking for residents was £10! However parking fees in Southend are a real rip off generally anyway. Score would have been 5 star otherwise. However, I would stay there again and I would recommend to others.
