What a location, overlooking the river, not the canal as someone said, but it is now shut and the property was obviously up for sale but as the sold signs suggest, it has been sold. So who or what will take it place, we await with baited breath.

We were expecting a little more for £30 a head! We took friends & were a little embarrassed by what we were offered for our money , such a shame as ideally positioned. Feel that menu needs up dating. More smiles from staff would have helped.

How have I never been here before?!? A delightful inn serving wonderful food in a beautiful spot. Even the weather was good. Lots of fish and seafood. A charming quirky decor. Drinks on the terrace overlooking the River Severn and Newnham on the other side. I'll be back.

We had been looking for a good restaurant by the water and this fitted the bill in spades. Lovely location by the river Severn, delightful owner and staff and a really delicious 7 course seafood tasting menu. Every course was outstanding - from deep fried oyster, fish soup, through scallops to red snapper risotto then monk fish. The homemade bread and flavoured butters were also a delight. Fabulous weather so we ate out on the terrace. We’ve recommended this to local friends and will definitely return when in the area.

Set beside the canal the location is lovely. The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere with thoughtful attentive staff who serve beautifully cooked and presented food. All courses enjoyed by the 4 of us were perfect. So good we have booked to return.
