Booked for 2 nights in August 2016 for a wedding in nearby Clearwell Castle. We paid GBP 60.00 deposit. I received an e-mail today to advise they have gone into Voluntary Liquidation and the deposit was more than likely paid into an overdrawn account. Hope to get my deposit back but there's no guarantee.

We booked two rooms for the final weekend of the school holidays - and the hotel took a hefty deposit. Just two weeks before we were due to visit, we received a note saying that the hotel will be closed for refurbishment when we were due to stay. There was no alternative accommodation offered, and we were left on our...

My fiancé and I were bought a 2 night stay here for my birthday this year. I'm just going to get straight to the facts really, on the way in the paint outside looks awful. We were actually laughing saying "that can't be it!!!". Then it was. However, lots of places could do with a lick of paint so we...

We went to a wedding at Clearwell Castle which is only about 100 yards up the road. This place is very handy. It is a budget hotel so no shampoo or body wash bottles on hand. The room was warm which was a great bonus. It was adequate without being too plush. The staff were very friendly and the full...

I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by the staff and guests! There is a lovely atmosphere here. A fantastic, rural location and extremely dog friendly. Clean and well presented throughout. Breakfast was fabulous. Speedy service and friendly staff. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Nigel. I have to say that our stay with you over Christmas 2015 at the Wyndham Arms. was just .... AWFUL. Your staff must have overheard the conversation among the guests over breakfast about it being like Fawlty Towers? How difficult for them!  This hotel is just terrible, and you must surely know it. It is falling apart, dirty and...

We spent our Christmas, four days at The Wyndham. Really warm welcome from Becky and nice large room and bed in the annex. Decor was a bit tired, but clean and acceptable for a 'dog friendly' hotel. With a revamp, they probably wouldn't allow dogs, although we have stayed in superior châteaus in France with our little dog, so this...

Our review will be basically exactly the same as the review beneath, as we were at the hotel at the same time. The manager acted totally disinterested in any of the guests and never offered a good morning, as he sat, lounging behind his desk, in front of a lap top. We had to pre book our Christmas lunch, at...

We agree with most of what has been said about the hotel, it's unfortunate that we didn't look on Trip Advisor before booking, it's unfortunate that it was our Christmas Break. We were in the annex, our room was ok, water red hot, shower really good, bedding very crisp and clean, towels clean and changed daily, the minus items have...
