Stayed here as a treat to myself, between working and camping, between festivals, and what a treat it was. Hotel is about 5-10mins from Tewkebury, but one l arrived, l didn't want to go anywhere - so l didn't. Huge room, very comfy, with absolutely everything l needed to feel at home. Sofa in room, home made biscuits, loose leaf tea, proper ground coffee, chilled water in fridge, nice toiletries. Beautiful grounds, including a swimming pool, looking onto gardens, a duck pond, and trees, in whose shade, l spent some time napping, given the 30C heat. I ate breakfast both days, and had one dinner. Food was good a d all of the staff are lovely and helpful. Another review mentioned the dining room - yes, it's maybe a wee bit staid, but perhaps some background music wpuld be a quick fix. And... Where else can you eat your meals, if you want, beside a duck pond, shaded or unshaded. A true home from home, exactly what l needed, feeling relaxed, recharged, and ready to face the the world again, for more festival carnage. Thank you so much, hope to see you again, same time next year! X…
Thank you so much to Baba and her team for organising the most wonderful Engagement Dinner for us. We started with Cocktails and Canapés before moving to the lovely restaurant for our supper. The Team could not have been more welcoming and lovely. The food was exquisite, the drinks were marvellous and the service outstanding. Thank you so much for making our Engagement so special.
Lovely surroundings, warm welcome, nice cup of tea, delicious G and T :) Stayed with my Mother in law who loved it too. Nice big rooms, comfy beds, everything clean and tidy, just what we expected and required. Loose leaf tea and ground coffee in the room too which was delightful- no plastic packets or ropey milk!! Only stayed a night, I'd like to come again, we'll need to save up!! Delicious evening meal and fantastic choice for breakfast. The waiting staff were very cheerful too , thank you everyone.
We were a party of 14 rebooking for our reunion after it had been cancelled due to Covid in 2020. We all loved the hotel and the delicious food in a private dining room. Several of us enjoyed the pool and everyone loved our rooms and the beautiful gardens. A fantastic choice for our reunion! Thank you Corse Lawn.
It was our turn to organise our annual gathering for our band of 12 friends whom we have known for more years than we like to remember. We had a fabulous 2 night stay at the Corse Lawn. The rooms are large and elegant, equipped with everything you could need including hot water bottles! Ground coffee and leaf tea with scrumptious shortbread biscuits, no teabags here. We had our evening dinners in a private dining room.. The food was excellent and the staff who looked us were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. As one friend commented there is a comfortable elegance about the place. We will certainly return as will our friends. Thanks to all the staff for a brilliant stay..
Our first visit since the pandemic, following an excellent day at RHS Spring Festival in Malvern. Had spotted one or two reviews along the lines of 'faded/ jaded', but our experience and reaction could not be more different. Dinner in the restaurant was as exquisite as ever, the service friendly and personal. Our room (Hasfield) was large, with king bed, and lovely views on three sides over the garden, pond and entrance driveway. The en suite bathroom was also spacious, the shower simple and effective. When booking I wondered how everything would be on a Sunday night before they closed for a couple of days. I needn't have worried. Wonderful to still have such an individual, characterful and high quality hotel/ restaurant in a delightful peaceful location near the Malverns but also accessible from the motorway network. …
My sister and I went to the hotel for lunch on a Sunday. The hotel was not busy and I can see why, it was absolutely terrible. Pros: Beautiful setting Friendly staff Cons: Fish overcooked Veg undercooked and cold Chocolate Fondant overcooked and reheated in a microwave We ended up sending two out of four plates back. The waiting staff were understanding and didn’t charge us for the two meals. We were given free tea as an apology. However when we went to pay, the charged us the wrong amount twice - paying for someone else’s table and then trying to get us to pay for the complimentary tea. The receptionist apologised stating they were busy. They weren’t as we could see. If they were low on staff I would have preferred they turned us away instead of serving us substandard food. We didn’t book, so they could have said no and we would have been fine with that. We are local and will not be returning which is a same as the hotel grounds are beautiful.…
We had a lovely 3 nights’ stay at the Corse Lawn Hotel. The room was clean and spacious. Bed and facilities were comfortable, Fresh fruits were provided everyday. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant each night and the food was also very good. Baba Hine and her team have done a fantastic job with the place. They seem to have have a lot of returned guests too. We would definitely recommend this place as a good base to visit the Cotswold.
Be aware that this is an old listed building kept very much in keeping with its traditional style by the family owners. Every thing creaks which only adds to the charm. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable ( I slept better than at home!) we had a gift voucher for a 2 night stay arriving on the 22nd April. The bistro and restaurant are delightful areas to eat, and as many have said the food is excellent. The exemplary staff treated us like vip’s. The grounds are lovely with many tables dotted around enabling al fresco dining in the finer weather. I would say this hotel suits the slightly older guests maybe 50 ish and over, we would definitely come again.
Thank you Baba for hosting Andy, myself and my close family for what was a wonderful surprise birthday weekend! We had use of the private dining room which added an extra special touch and was much appreciated by the family, providing space to eat, relax and play a few games. Everyone was very happy with their rooms and all appreciated the tea, coffee and homemade biscuits. Our room, Forthampton, was beautiful and looked out over the large pond at the front of the hotel. The staff were professional and polite as always - even when the family group asked for multiple variations of tea and coffee! Dinner was a highlight and the quality of the food was commented on by everyone. The vegetarian members of the group were impressed with the menu choices available and loved the spinach pastry dish - saying it was one of the best meals they have ever had. They would have appreciated a vegetarian 'full English' option, but achieved the same outcome by just doubling up on the egg, mushroom and tomatoes. We are getting married at the Corse Lawn in August and have a whole weekend of celebrations planned! Baba has been great in accommodating our various requests and I'm sure we'll be writing another glowing review after a wonderful weekend - though I do fear that Baba might be lying down in a dark room by the time we've all gone! A traditional hotel with traditional values and a relaxing vibe! Lots of places to sit and relax, play a game, read or chat with friends. We look forward to returning for a short break in June!…
