Detailed Reviews
Fantastic stay in a wonderful setting. The shepherd’s hut is fabulous and in a small field on its own so very private and peaceful. It is very comfortable and well equipped with a log burner if it gets chilly.
Emma was looking out for us, which was great as we drove past. She gave us a quick but thorough briefing and than left us to it but responded immediately when we contacted us.
We loved the village , with the Thames Way literally a 10 min walk away.

My partner and I have just returned from a two night stay in the beautiful little shepherd's hut at Manor Farm and we absolutely loved it. The hut is cute and cosy with a log burner for chilly evenings and the wood fired hot tub outside was wonderful for relaxing under the stars. The hut was well equipped and the breakfast hamper provided was plentiful. Emma also left us a lovely cake and she was very friendly and helpful. Perfect stay for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we'll definitely be back!

We stayed in the Shepherds hut and Kelmscott really is off the beaten track. The village is so peaceful and very beautiful, with very little traffic. In fact there were more overhead flights than there were cars! The Shepherds hut was well equipped and very comfortable, with the fabulous hot tub. Customer service was great, Emma was very easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. The breakfast pack was plentiful and thankyou for the delicious lemon cake!

This is a beautiful old house in a small hamlet away from the main roads so very quiet and peaceful. Fabulous choice for breakfast with every combination you could wish for. Emma is a fabulous host and very happy to give advice on what's in the area. We had a great couple of nights here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We went to Kelmscott to see the summer home of William Morris, a leader of the arts and crafts movement in England in the late 1800's. We were charmed as much by our choice of lodging, the Manor Farm Bed & Breakfast in that lovely village, as we were by the Morris house. Our room was large and gracious, with an excellent bathroom. And one could walk many a mile on the ample and tasty full-English breakfast. There is a pub in the village, and many places to walk, including the path along the River Thames. Not easy to access using public transportation, but possible. Emma, your host will give you the particulars. This would be a lovely place to spend several days.

We stayed for three nights on a short break to the Cotswolds. It was perfect for visiting Kelmscott Manor, which was on our list of places to visit, as it is only a few minutes walk away. We had a nice big room with a separate bathroom with a bath, which is always a bonus (think our room was called Dovecote). There was tea and coffee making equipment in the room, but no TV (there is a guests lounge downstairs with one). Emma was a welcoming and friendly host and the breakfasts were lovely. The local pub was gorgeous with good food. Kelmscott Manor was definitely worth a visit.

Emma responded quickly when booking in, and it is possible to do online bank transfers for deposit. This place books up quickly on the weekends - so book once you know you're going to be here. Arrival time flexibility depends on family commitments, and Emma will let you know via email during that week. Single room rate was £40 which was a double room with ensuite bathroom. Large bath, but weak shower. Easy parking. Average (not bad) brekkie. I was walking in, along the Thames path (had walked from Tadpole Bridge) . I imagine the accommodation here is better/spacious/quieter than that at the pub down the road - but the pub does look good for dinner. This place is listed in National Trust B and Bs. I can see why. Excellent value for the quality. (Next stop was Castle Eaton's Red lion. Same price - AWFUL in comparison).

We were walking the Thames path and at Kelmscott we stayed at Manor Farm Bed and Breakfast. The working farm building is very attractive and the rooms and ensuite facilities are spacious and comfortable. It is very convenient for Kelmscott Manor, William Morris's country house, which opens on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Summer.
When we came back from dinner at the good local pub, the Plough, we were able to use the very comfortable lounge available for guest to watch the news on TV.
Breakfast was served in a charming room and was very good. It is one of the best B&Bs we have visited on the Thames Path.

Arrived at the B&B to be greeted by Emma who was a fantastic host throughout our overnight stay. Great décor and very tidy. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Emma could not have been more welcoming and I would highly recommend this for either a short break or a longer stay. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the area is very peaceful (excepting a low flying plane from nearby Fairford!).

Just spent two nights in the Shepherds Hut at Manor Farm. Spotlessly clean, just everything supplied including birdsong in the daytime and an owl at night. Shower room, gas ring, bottled water, choice of breakfast goods, bottle of wine and a cake. Faultless presentation with an attention to detail that only comes from experience. Highly recommended and there is an excellent pub a couple of hundred yards away; not forgetting the River Thames at the bottom of the lane.
