Stayed at Deanfield B&B for three nights in September 2023. Jo was very welcoming. Very clean room, great breakfast, car parking, very good location, with two local pubs nearby. Highly recommended, our first choice if staying in the area.

Communication before hand was good. The b and b is a lovely house. The room was beautiful we were in number 3 which looks out at the front of the property. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. The shower wasn't the most powerful. Breakfast you order the night before and is cooked lovely the next morning.if you want to hire bikes the shop is 10 mins walk 5 mins drive away. The woodman inn is 3 doors away they had a good pub menu Would definitely stay again and would recommend to any one staying in the area

What a gem of a guest house this is , absolutely stunning property . No particularly lovely views to look out on , but the accommodation more than makes up for that . A fabulous ground floor bedroom , perfect for my elderly parents , made all the better by a wonderful wet room . Jo is the most wonderful hostess and a real local with all the knowledge to help you have the best time in and around the Forest of Dean . Rooms are immaculate and oh so comfy . Breakfast perfectly cooked and presented . We will certainly return. .

A truly great B & B, everything was perfect. The location, the welcome, the rooms & a superb breakfast cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly & the owner deserves an accolade for the presentation of her B& B. So nicely decorated , extremely comfortable beds , nice shower room, a great welcome tray with a coffee percolator ! Just wish we can return very soon. Thank you

Reviewed it before when we went in June 2022. Not a good experience, in room over front door & could hear it close every time. Poor experience so fortunately owner able to re- rent room second night. Owner felt they had the right to pack our belongings before we returned from our walk in plenty of time to ready it for next people.

Response from Jo Worgan, Owner at Deanfield Bed & Breakfast
Responded 19 Jul 2023
Thank you for leaving your review, we are sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. We haven’t had any other complaints about our door but we’ll certainly look into it. When you said you’d like to leave a night early we assumed you’d know it would be our normal check out time for us to be able to get the room ready for the next guest, sorry if we didn’t make that clear. We did try ringing and texting you but couldn’t get through. We hope you can return to our beautiful Forest of Dean one day and enjoy the woodland walks. Best regards Jo & Daryl

Jo was an excellent host from my first to last interaction. Deanfield is a clean, well-presented establishment overall and the room I had was spacious and contained everything I needed during my two-night stay. The breakfast offering was enough to cater for all needs and was served with a smile while ensuring all was ok. I can't recommend Deanfield more from my experience and I hope to stay again in the future.
