Deanfield b&b has an excellent location in the beautiful Forest of Dean, within walking distance of RSPB Nagshead. Chris gave us a warm welcome, and our rooms were comfy. The breakfasts were tasty and the packed lunches were fresh and delicious.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting the Forest of Dean. The B&B is run by Jo and Daryl who have recently taken over from the previous owners and clearly intend to maintain the high standards set by their predecessors. Jo is not only friendly but super-efficient as well. Being a native of the area she has extensive knowledge of where to go and what to see which proved really helpful to us in terms of sightseeing.

We had the super twin room which was really comfy and spotlessly clean. Plenty of tea and coffee materials plus biscuits. Good wifi signal and good LG TV too. The water pressure for the shower was a bit feeble and the water temperature fluctuated occasionally but that was a minor quibble.

Breakfast was very good every day and served without any delays. The granola fruit and yogurt pots were especially nice.

The b&b is conveniently located in the centre of Parkend with two pubs serving meals a short walk away. Ample off street parking too. A good location for seeing the sights of the Forest of Dean.

We spend a lot of time in the Forest, this is one of the best places we've stayed .Very clean , tastefully decorated B&B. I would recommend it . Our host Jo was very cheerful and welcoming, the breakfasts are tasty and served in spotless dining rooms. Handily located in the centre of the Forest, with many of the Forest's attractions at hand..

We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from Jo. Our room was on the ground floor but there was no noise. Everything was very clean. The bathroom had a large walk in shower with good quality toiletries and large soft towels. No wardrobe but a large hanging rail with plenty of hangers. Drawers under the dressing table and bedside cabinets. Plenty of choice at breakfast and it was cooked to perfection.
would certainly recommend.

The breakfast was delicious and the location was ideal if you're travelling there to be amongst the countryside for walks. The forest is really close by and is perfect for country walks. The room at the B&B is really comfortable and Chris is lovely.

Was a last minute booking I requested earlier check in, which was promptly dealt with and I was emailed to confirm that it wouldn’t be a problem. I was also informed that the two pubs in the village get booked up fairly quickly on the weekend and would be advised to call ahead, which luckily I did as it was rammed. We found the Deanfield with ease. Which is in a lovely picturesque village of Parkend. Chris greeted us and was very welcoming and made us coffee and biscuits and made us feel very much at home. The room was very spacious and the decor was to a high standard, and extremely clean. We also had a lovely balcony. We instantly felt relaxed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was lovely and warm and very quiet so much so we could of happily slept through breakfast, but my stomach motivates my legs once bacon is smelt😁. Breakfast was lovely there was a selection juice, cereals, yoghurts, jams marmalade’ etc there was also choices of fish, omelettes, and full English, which we opted for.service was prompt and food was lovely nice and clean. Nigel and Chris are very friendly hosts and we could of chatted all day. Would certainly recommend. And will certainly go back in summer in drier conditions and go out exploring. Oh for the record we eat at the woodman which is a stones throw from the Deanfield, and food was great.

Dean field hotel was a lovely hotel located in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay here as the owners were very accommodating and always went the extra mile to make you feel welcome and accommodate you. The hotel is near to Puzzlewood which is a great place to visit if staying in the Forest of Dean. There are also some lovely forest trails near to the hotel which are a walk away. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent and is one of the best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel. The hotel owners are a lovely couple too and always make you feel welcome. Highly recommended.

I would recommend this bed and breakfast in a great location for local walks and cycling, with a bike hire place nearby and a pub only metres away. It was a lovely stay, and I will definitely go again. The owners are extremely welcoming and attentive, the rooms are clean and with good facilities. Breakfast was delicious.

upon arrival to the time we left all the guests were treated extreemely well. the room we stayed was large with a king size bed and large bathroom with bath.

bed was very comfortable.

breakfast was ample to chose from and a form is filled out the night before to ensure smooth flow at breakfast, the breakfast was one of the best i have had from B&Bs and using local produce.

ample parking for 6+ cars.

excellent base for walks and cycling with many trails accesable from the front door and cyclle hire down the road, also in the area is a lovely steam railway.

lovely pubs withion walking distance.

in all was made to feel at home from the start and nothing was a trouble for the hosts.

will be back
