We stayed here for one night whilst walking the Cotswold Way. Rosie could not do enough for us: offers of picking us up if it was raining; anything that needed washing/drying; a cup of tea and cake on arrival; superb evening meal with wine and served with complete attention to detail. She even gave us a lift back to the...

The moment you arrive at Grey Cottage with its beautiful manicured gardens you are made to feel so welcome. Rosie showed us our room which was beautifully clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is spacious with bath and separate wonderful shower and has everything you need down to tooth brush/paste, shower gels, razor and...

I stayed here overnight when attending a family wedding nearby. I had the single room which was very comfortable with en-suite and everything I needed. Lovely hostess cooked a very tasty breakfast too, I'd highly recommend a stay here!

A group of us stayed to visit the village Remembrance Service to honour a comrade who was killed in Northern Ireland in 1988, we will remember our stay almost as fondly as our friend Lyndon. Rosie our host was a character who entertained us, not only with her cooking but the anecdotes of her life's stories, what a life she...

The proprietor of Grey House is delightful. It is a pleasure to interact with her on the web and in person it was delightful, after a very long day of walking, to be awaited with anxiety for us because we might have been in trouble, with a reservation made for us at the local restaurant because otherwise we might have...

Excellent! The LL spared no efforts to please us all through. Exchanged the regular afternoon tea for a good beer, already at the presentation of the evening dinner our mouths were watering. In the very nice dining room the delicious starter were followed by an impressive main with a comforting wine; all we needed to overcome the quite tough Birdlip...

Rosemary is a charming proprietress who knows how the value of a good anecdote and serves a beautiful breakfast. Her hospitality was much appreciated after a day's walk in scattered showers and her willingness to drive us to the local pub and make sure we taken care of can't be underestimated. Plus the accommodations are clean and cheerful. No wonder...

I had a truly fantastic stay at The Grey Cottage in Leonard Stanley, Gloucestershire. Rosie is a fantastic host who makes you feel that in this hidden corner of the Cotswolds, all's right with the world. I would perhaps not stay with young children - too much beautiful china and crystal glass! -, but if you travel without children, go...

Just returned from a week long trip walking the Cotswold Way from Painswick to Bath. My walking company (Contours Walking Holidays) had us transferring back to Painswick after a nine mile walk instead of staying in the King Stanley/Leonard Stanley area (claiming lack of rooms due to a bank holiday). I readily found Grey Cottage and requested Contours move us...
