Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pam was a lifesaver, I was walking the Cotswold Way backpacking and camping as I went, on Saturday 8th July the heavens opened, it was thundering and lightning, and I was passing Pam's back garden gate, with it's inviting sign to ring the bell, I walked on by, but then backtracked and rang. Pam welcomed me in and made me so comfortable, it saved my day, as putting a tent up in that weather was going to be a tad difficult! Lovely breakfast and she offers every possible amenity. 10 stars Pam. And thank you so much.

We loved the B&B and our host Pam. She was so friendly and accommodating. Rooms were beautiful and she helped us get a cab and arranged dinner. Her yard was lovely and we could use the clothes line. Breakfast good.

We arrived from a wet day walking the Cottswald Way and Pam was ready. Paper for our wet boots, slippers, hooks for wet jackets. Our stay was delightful with every comfort catered for. In addition Pam ordered us take away as it was a Monday and nothing was open, she then collected our order and set us up in the conservatory to eat. Breakfast was superb. Recommend you make this a 'must visit and stay'

Valley View has fantastic facilities and Pam goes well out of her way to ensure that her guests are well looked after. As walkers, we were delighted with the facilities in our room, from bathrobes and slippers, every kind of bathroom luxuries, loads of tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits ...plus fresh milk....and help in ordering a takeaway which she then served for us. Breakfast was superb with everything yo7 could want.. Thank you Pam for a great stay.

This B&B specializes in walkers and Pam, the owner, has it down to a science. She offers any and everything a tired walker might need from bath salts, to first aid, to ordering Chinese delivery. Her garden was beautiful and her house was immaculate. And she makes her own jams. Very nice and much appreciated experience.

I have been to valley views a number of times and each time I return it never ever disappoints- Pam always makes you feel very welcome and as usual my room had everything I needed, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast too.

We arrived at Pam's home wet and tired from a day's walk. There was room in the porch to set aside our wet clothes, and boots, with scrunched up newspaper to help dry our boots. We then took a tour of our rooms in the roof, which consisted of very comfortably furnished twin beds (with coffee making facilities (nespresso machine and pods, and fresh milk in a little fridge, no less) and a gorgeous bathroom for our sole use, with fluffy dressing gowns, lashings of hot water, and plenty of clothes drying facilities. Pam had found out that the local pub was now open on a Monday night, phoned ahead and told them to expect us, and we had a lovely hearty meal there; our lovely barman offered to drive us home, as the rain was lashing down, but we were able to manage a further walk to stretch our legs. After a good nights sleep, we had a lovely breakfast, which included home made gooseberry and mixed berry compote (not sweet, but so tasty). Pam has been working with walkers for 27 years, so she knows what you need. Though we were happy for one of us to take a bath and the other wait, Pam even offered us the opportunity to use a supper duper all singing all dancing jet bath - though it would have meant her cleaning this again for the following nights workers. She is a great host, not fussy, no nonsense, but really thoughtful. There is a downstairs room set aside to sit in comfort if you want to chat and socialise with other guests or watch the TV. We did not need to use it. Pam could not have done more for us; lovely lady, lovely accommodation. It made walking the hills so much more enjoyable. Thank you Pam

Stayed here as one of my stops while hiking the Cotswold Way, and glad I booked early enough to get a nice room at this place. Was very spacious, tastefully decorated and clean!!! Had a full size spa-type tub (didn't use) and shower, and several nice bathroom amenities to choose from. Wifi worked well, but signal in the area was good too if not on the wifi. The hostess walked me through all the details and features of the room, the breakfast area, the patio, and so on... Very kind and hospitable. Could not have felt more welcome. Was unfortunate to be raining so I didn't get to enjoy her beautifully landscaped back yard and patio, but I had a nice view of it from my room. Was a very short walk to The Kings Head for dinner.

Lovely place to stay, the landlady, Pam, couldn’t have done more for us, she even ordered and picked up our Chinese takeaway for us. All the facilities are amazing, coffee makers in the rooms for lovely fresh coffee, a little fridge for fresh milk and cold water, robes in the bathroom and slippers to wear. Everything was thought of. Lovely view from the lounge over The Valley and right on the Cotswolds Way too. The breakfast was super quality too, lovely fresh fruit and fresh yoghurt, all manner of cereals and a large selection of cooked items. The best stay along the Way so far, highly recommended.

Stayed here last night while walking the Cotswold Way. We could not have been made more welcome. The room was excellent in every way and there is a nice conservatory/ lounge for guests to relax and watch TV. The breakfast was also very nice and a great start to the day. Unfortunately the weather was not too good the night we stayed, but on a nice evening the lovely garden would be great to sit and enjoy the view. The owner could not be more helpful, welcoming us into her home. Would recommend this B&B to anyone walking the Cotswold Way which passes the back gate. Thank you for looking after us.
