Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The issues of there being no phone in the Premier Inn rooms, but a cost of approximately 35pm to phone a hotel from your mobile, is that you cannot make a complaint at the time. I’m in a downstairs room, it’s 7.30am on a Saturday morning and the person above my room has been clumping about since at least 6.30am. Lenny Henry doesn’t mention this in the ad does he?

Exactly what I wanted. Clean, basic, good quality bed. In exactly the right place and close to the motorway. Staff were helpful and friendly. One minor glitch was overcome immediately. When leaving the staff gave us a friendly goodbye

Really bad road and car park noise, non attentive staff on book in, poor room cleanliness and worst of all the quality and selection of breakfast was appalling, with so many items in limited supply, poor presentation, tables left with empty dishes whilst staff stood talking and staff stood in a gaggle having a social session

Very clean excellent friendly staff. Security very good. Very good breakfast, no restaurant for evening meal which was disappointing, plenty of places within a 10 minute drive so not an insurmountable problem. Would stay there again.

When we arrived there was a real funky smell in the reception area. Our room was full of mold all round the window area and soaking wet with condensation. The mold in the bathroom was terrible. It was all over the ceiling and walls and tiles and the taps were disgusting. The skirting boards were thick with dust and had obviously not seen a duster in a while. I do not expect 5* but I would certainly expect a clean room.

This was our first stay at the Fareham Premier Inn as it proved to be the closest to our destination. It is an older two storey building with no lift. For us it met the usual P.I. standard for the two nights we stayed. Room exactly as expected with their normal room and bathroom layout. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. All staff we met were friendly and helpful

Fantastic service, upon arrival, the gentleman Reception was very discreet with my room number, given the fact that there was a lone male behind me in the queue, something that is really appreciated. The room was clean & very comfortable as was the bed. All staff I encountered were very welcoming, I’d highly recommend this Premier Inn.

Premier Inn is our brand of choice and we regularly stay at different locations across the UK. Premier Inn Fareham has to be one of their worst hotels. The furniture in the room (Room 120) was tired looking and dirty. The fittings in the bathroom were rusty and the shower-head was filthy. The only reason for staying there was the location. Throughout our stay we did not see one member of staff and had to use the self service check-in. Not recommended.

The hotel was very tired and although the staff were very pleasant the hotel let the employees down.... The carpets in the room had been hoovered however I did not take my shoes off as the carpet hand ingrained dirt and were sticky to the touch. I would not recommend this hotel !

We had an issue with no heating in the room on arrival. The friendly staff soon sorted out a temporary heater until the proper heater could be fixed the next day. They even have us a complementary breakfast the next morning!
