We stayed in Lymington and would happily stay in the same room again. Quaint room but has everything you need and a spacious bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower (lovely views over the garden from the bath). Service throughout was very good. We had the taster menu and the matched wine flight. All courses were very good...

The rooms and hotel are clearly not the main reason for coming here - the restaurant is the pull, but certainly our room and facilities, the excellent breakfast, and lovely grounds (even thought it was winter and snowing) would be worthy of a 4* rating, but that would change the ambience of the manor if they had room service, 24...

Set in lovely grounds the hotel looked most welcoming. The 'lounge' sadly was more like a Care Home lounge than that of a hotel. The restaurant was well laid out and the food very good. Bit disappointed that some of the dessert options had run out by the time came for us to sample them.

Treated my sister for her birthday. We both had the vegetarian taster menu which I purchased it from Groupon. The food was absolutely wonderful and the service was great. The staff were very friendly. Had a wonderful evening, will definitely go back again. I did not give the full 5 star as one dish I did not like that much...

Stayed for one night including 7 course tasting menu. The room was huge, spotless and had a lovely jacuzzi bath. When we arrived we had tea and scones, the 7 course meal was fabulous. My favourite dishes were cauliflower risotto and the ray with smoked mussels, although all the courses tasted lovely. I opted for kippers for breakfast, a little...

Stayed for a couple of nights and found it a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing place to spend some time. Food was excellent, the full English breakfast amongst the best I've had. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was lovely and cosy despite it being bitterly cold out and the bed extremely comfortable. My only criticism would be that some of...

Booked a night away for my husbands birthday with a highlife voucher so I thought it was good value. We arrived at the hotel and was able to park easily, the gentleman on reception showed us to our room which was in the courtyard and called Kew. The room was large and equipped with everything that you might need, it...

Our first (but certainly not last) visit for lunch. Food excellent, reception and general ambience and service, first class. Comfortable lounges and restaurant but welcoming and not so self important that one would be embarrassed if one dropped ones knife! Unexpected extras, glass of mulled wine ( very welcome on a cold, dreek day) interesting canapés ... good choice on...

Stayed here for 1 night and wish I could stayed longer. Very peaceful and comfortable with lovely food and amazing breakfast. The staff are lovely , this is a family owned, run and staffed hotel and they all take a lot of care in the running of it by the service we received. The rooms are spacious and although old...
