Spa experience poor more specifically express pedicure booked alongside a stay is very quick and rushed through. Strict time limits it seems to rush as many people through. They don’t take time with any treatments. Overall not impressed. The hotel is nice. But spa experience poor

We had a 3 night break to welcome in our 50th birthdays, after reading some reviews (once we’d already booked) we were feeling nervous but no need! The 2 bed apartment was fantastic, clean, spacious and had a fabulous view. We arrived on a Sunday and it was quite busy, we had lunch in the sports bar and we had dinner included on the first night which was a carvey, really good! The staff were all very good, polite and attentive. The champagne bar was lovely, we asked to just order because the QR code thing drives us mad and they were happy to come over to us to take our order with a pen and paper! Breakfast was a help yourself cold selection (fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries) the a buffet (staff served you) it was very hot and well cooked again the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We had use of the spa area and pool (you have to book pool times which is very easy) for the entirety of our stay and had amazing weather too. We each had a 25 min treatment included in our booking which were great and the spa staff are lovely. Overall we would recommend this hotel and will be booking again for sure, Thank you you’re doing a great job.

Stayed for 2 nights and 3 rounds of golf, paid just under £200. personally thought the rooms were very good& clean, great power shower. Thought the swimming pool & steam etc etc were all good as well, but could only have 45mins. Which was enough for me. FOOD. I didn’t have any food from the bar but friends said it was all good. But dinner was a Carvery which they have served every night since re-opening. They only do Yorkshire puddings on a Sunday. And not a great selection of meat either. I’m not a Carvery man. And found this very disappointing not to have at least another choice. Starters were nice a choice of 4 same with dessert but no ice cream 🤷🏼 Breakfast was much the same and seemed a bit over done on the cooking part. Staff were very friendly and very helpful, who ever you had to speak too. Now we come to the golf, thought the course was tuff of the whites but so enjoyable. punished the bad shots which it should. But loved it to be fair, really did. The views from some of the holes were stunning. But on our next 18 holes we’re told only members could play of whites by the starter and this then became a non driver course for me. You could hit a 5 wood all day long and not bother with a driver. This was very disappointing. Also in this heat it did take some doing some parts are extremely hilly. So we got buggies for our 3rd and last round of yellows. If you don’t hit the ball much further than 200yrds with a driver then it’s fine of yellows. Honestly loved the course but so much more challenging off the whites. Greens were superb. Unless We could play of whites, then unfortunately we probably won’t go back. And certainly not if still serving a Carvery every night Got better photos but to large a file Jason McQ Age 51 Single hcp

Came away for a 1 night stay with 3 friends, didn’t expect much from the hotel as I have heard mixed reviews before however I was disappointed with both rooms had views of brick walls from the windows, the pool area you were only allowed in for 45 mins during the whole day and it was fairly dirty, cold hot tub etc wouldn’t want to spend much longer than that in current state. The most disappointing was the food - honestly worse than school dinners - they only do a roast carvery every single day of the week, the meat was revolting, veg and potatoes cold, all cheap quality - worst food I have eaten in years, can’t believe they serve that.

We booked for a night here as a spa package and overall we had a lovely stay. Rooms were smart, well looked after and clean. The spa experience was amazing, lovely service from the team and the relaxing spa area was peaceful and tucked away from everyone. The pool and wellness facilities were clean and a pleasure to use. The food in the evening was a roast dinner which was served to us, which was a bit unusual for a Saturday evening so I do feel this should be highlighted more when customers go to book their package deal. The food did not feel on the same level as the rest of the hotel, maybe because they were catering to high numbers and it was a served buffet line but it was perfectly good food. The drinks in all the bars are ordered via an app which on the whole works however it would also be nice to be able to be served by real people as an option as the menu does not seem to have everything on it, for example sparkling water wasn’t an option available on the app. Overall though a lovely stay and we will be back again.
