What a little gem of a B&B. Found last minute and were not disappointed. Beautiful room with extra king size bed. Very clean throughout with friendly staff. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice. Thank you very much.

Hadn't visited The Trooper Inn before, however had been recommended by a friend so decided to try for my birthday meal & I am so glad we did!! The food and service was absolutely amazing!! Couldn't fault it. We hadn't told the staff it was my birthday but as they over heard that it was, my pudding was delivered with...

Was recommended this hotel by a colleague who lives nearby, the website looked nice and it was located for our 2 day workshop. The check-in was smooth, first impression was it was a cosy and slightly quirky small inn. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean which is almost never the case in the big chains I stay in....

Loved the Trooper just outside Petersfield in a quiet location. Very well appointed, furnished and clean rooms. Delicious home cooked food, mussels, tempura tails and Beef Wellington highly recommended as is the full English breakfast. Log fires and lots of quirky pictures and photos to look at. The staff could not have been more helpful. My only tiny quibble is...

We dined at The Trooper regularly 10 years ago; we were never disappointed. It was one of the first "Gastro Pubs" of its time. Fresh quality produce, modern rustic decor - above all, excellent pub food and service at restaurant standard. Booking in advance a must! 10 years on, what has happened? No longer a Gastro Pub - black &...

Once a great hang out , now over priced and fully of it's own self importance. I took a customer for lunch , the food was average, service average and the bill far from average. This is a great same as I expected better

I stayed on a business trip which was unfortunately only one night The meal was excellent. The room extremely comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. A great find and a little gem in a peaceful location The building, on the outside, appears to be a little characterless. Step inside----appearances are most certainly deceptive.
