Most impressed with my Sunday lunch at the White Horse. My starter of partridge and pear terrine was lovely and the celeriac remoulded very much to my taste.Perfectly cooked beef, crunchy potatoes and superb Yorkshire pudding. I needed a doggie bag. To follow very unusual sorbet,Earl grey, peach and pear. Regrettably I could not take on the crumble. The maitre d’ was as always superb in running this lovely restaurant. Impressive attention to detail and the impression that she really cares that you enjoy your meal. A real treat ,tables were well spaced out so it was relaxing with safety measures well observed.

Two night break last week to visit family. A lovely old building with bags of character. The staff are all amazing and we felt very safe with all the measures in place. Lovely room overlooking the market square. Breakfast had plenty to choose from and was well cooked and fresh. We had dinner on the 2nd night which was very good. I had ox cheek which isn’t something you see very often on menus plus a lovely soufflé to start. We spent a very relaxing couple of hours after in the beautiful Tudor Lounge. Would definitely stay again.
