An excellent dinner at this restaurant last Sunday , with a very charming and helpful waitress in attendance. - very high standards, very low ceilings .We are local , have had coffee there, but not eaten there before. There are many gastro pubs in this area, but we felt very comfortable here, especially with the staff.

A large group of friends met here for dinner which was arranged under the expert baton of GM John Lacombe. For tall people be warned - the ceilings are VERY low, best to sit! Chris Parkers food was light and flavourful. In winter the dining room has the feel of a country farmhouse which made it seem like a large...

We came away for a Valentine's weekend treat, and couldn't have been more impressed. Everything about our stay was perfect. The room we stayed in (Leet 3) was luxurious and totally indulgent. The roll top bath was a particular treat! The staff were attentive, friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. We felt welcomed from the very minute we arrived,...

We spent an overnight stay with friends and ate in the restaurant. The bedrooms were very spacious, lovely comfy beds and great american style shower. The meal was also superb with interesting choices and combination of flavours. Overall, an excellent choice for both accommodation and food!

We recently lunched with some old friends in this delightful pub in Stockbridge. Excellent fish platters are to be highly recommended along with a pint of Greyhound. Stockbridge itself enjoys free parking and the village also has some very decent shops and one better than decent art gallery. If you are looking for a genial lunch followed by a gentle...

Stayed for one night for my husband's birthday. Delicious dinner (although salmon starter portion very small) and good wine list. Breakfast was also good. We stayed in Room 3 in the refurbished cottage next door. Loved the décor; comfortable super king bed (bottom sheet wasn't big enough though and kept untucking itself!); bathroom well equipped. Think it could be hot...

Stayed in room 7 at the back or the pub , so it was nice and quiet with a superking size bed which was lovely and comfortable with lovely quality bedding. Plenty of tea and coffee and water . Bathroom a bit of a squeeze but with a walk in shower and a bath it was fine. I liked the...
