My husband and I were very impressed with this hotel. We stayed in one of the King rooms and were pleasantly surprised by the size and how clean it was. Free and easy parking too. There was some noise from the busy road so would recommend earplugs. Wendy was very accommodating and friendly and made us feel really welcome. The breakfast was really good as well and we had drinks in the bar in the evening. All in all a very good stay, especially for the money. Very good value and can't really criticise it at all. We will be back again.

We had an amazing time at the Stag Hotel for a couple of nights. The King Room was wonderful, very spacious , modern and warm. There was bottled water in the rooms and biscuits too which were both replenished daily. The staff were all really friendly and it all felt very cosy, special thanks to Wendy and Jake. The breakfast was excellent and the two evening meals we had there were brilliant too. There is a lovely garden outside which we did sit in but far better on a warm summer day. We have already booked to go back as we enjoyed our stay so much. As many hotels are now since Covid, It's dog friendly but none of the dogs there were any trouble whatsoever and you wouldn't have known they were present. Lyndhurst was lovely too and we hope to go for some longer walks next time when its not so 'Boggy' due to all the recent rain.

Went for dinner. Very good home cooked food. More gastro pub style. Seabass with butternut risotto perfectly cooked. Still do pub classics too both large portions and nicely presented too. Service is good here too and the drinks prices are good for the area. Would return

We stop here as I had heard very good reviews via my local Facebook group. I wasn’t disappointed. It wasn’t very busy but you’d expect that on a cold December Tuesday mid afternoon. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. I had Pork Belly with dauphinois potatoes and seasonal greens, my husband had Braised beef and our son had a chicken burger. All of our meals were presented well and tasted amazing. We will certainly be back.

Amazing stay, all the team were super warm and friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The room (Lymington), was spacious, fresh, and clean. It had the perfect area for us to put our dog's crate, it was like a home from home for her. Lovely touch that a soft dog bed, a bowl, and some biscuit bones were left in the room for her to use. Everybody loved our little Dachshund Heidi and could not do enough to help us like keeping her food in a fridge. Food was great, especially the breakfast!! Would definitely recommend The Stag, especially if you want to take your dog.

We called in here on a wet Wednesday for a warm and to get something to eat and drink. We shared a big fat club sandwich which came with a complimentary cup of home made soup. When our waitress saw we were sharing she brought us a side plate and another cup of soup. These little touches were welcomed and appreciated. We are planning a return visit to stay a couple of nights and sample the restaurant food.
