This was our second stay at the Hotel. We had a snug double which was find for our 2 night stay. Room and bathroom were clean and well looked after. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good with a good selection and the cooked breakfast was always hot. Make sure you book direct with the hotel for the best price.

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday and the hotel did not disappoint. The hotel is situated at the top of the high street and is ideally situated within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and pubs. We stayed in a superior double doom which was lovely, it had ample space and storage for our clothes and the bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was included in our room rate which was a buffet style and all the food options were of very good quality, the bacon and sausages were delicious! We also had afternoon tea at the hotel which was delicious, we couldnt eat all the cake so took some back to the room for later. All staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

A great location, lovely superior room tastefully decorated. The hotel has a warm homely feel, staff all helpful, breakfast was lovely, happy hour on cocktails was perfect, loved being able to walk straight out into new forest.

Great stay, lovely room, weird wallpaper/curtain combinations but that is a matter of taste! All staff very friendly and welcoming, had two for one cocktails in the lounge - lovely. Only quibble on my part was breakfast which was buffet style so not very hot and the dreaded toast machine, so lots of standing about waiting for the toast, other than that lots of pastries, juices, fruit and yoghurt. We will come back, it’s got a great atmosphere and is fantastically situated on the High Street.

Traditional hotel with traditional high quality service and amazing food. We sadly only managed to fit in a one night stay for my husbands birthday. Lovely little touches such as a birthday card and a bag of delicious chocolates from the Hotel for his birthday. Cannot fault it and really recommend. We will be back

Thought we would book a last minute break away in Lyndhurst. This is the second time that we have visited this lovely hotel, the last time being around 6 years ago. Once again the hotel and the weekend didn't disappoint. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the food (we ate in the restaurant twice) was lovely and all the staff were very friendly helpful and polite. On more than one occasion we took advantage of the late afternoon/evening cocktails 2 for 1 offer. Thanks to all at the Crown Manor Hotel We had a lovely time, very relaxing. - Richard & Dawn Williams

Had a lovely overnight stay here. Everything was to a high standard: The cleanliness, the room, the bathroom (albeit small), the customer service, the breakfast. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was lovely and had 2-4-1 cocktails in the bar before (3-6pm). Great location for nearby walks and lovely to look around lyndhurst too.

Plenty of parking space to he rear of the hotel. Interesting highstreet with individual shops and tearooms. Only 20 minutes to Beauluie...well worth the visit...but beware...£26 per person entry fee...but still worth it espectially seeing all that of Top gear!!

The Good: 1. Nice decor. 2. Excellent breakfast. 3. Good service. The Bad : Very noisy and hot room (despite the radiator off and the window open in February). The room was above the boiler room with heating pipes rattling and clanking all night. Changed rooms the next day to an attic room which was cooler but still noisy due to being on a main pipe run for the heating. Our "Classic" room was supposed to be better (and plus £15 per night) than the "Snug" room but when my family checked into their "Snug" room, if anything it was better than our "Classic". When we moved from our "Classic" room to the cooler "Snug" room on the second night, plenty of apologies but no offer of a reduced rate for the change or inconvenience. All in all, not a great experience for what is not an inexpensive hotel and we will not be going back.

There has been a coaching inn on this site for several centuries although the current building is largely Victorian. It is beautiful, with a gorgeous grand old English country house feel and is situated in the centre of Lyndhurst. The lounges are sumptuous and comfortable with log fires. The staff were all extremely polite, welcoming, friendly, patient and efficient. The rooms were lovely and I was fortunate enough to be upgraded from a single to a double, as there was availability. This generosity was much appreciated. One of the rooms however was rather over-warm during the night and it was a bit difficult to regulate the temperature. The only down-side of our stay was dinner. There was insufficient choice for a non-meat eater who wishes to eat healthily. Two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc came to £26 which is very expensive. Our starters were tasty but tiny and the main course was disappointing and expensive for what it was. We were advised that we should have complained at the time, but I could not see how the situation could have been improved as the dish we had both chosen was a quinoa --based mixture and so was already cooked. It was also rather dry and cold and did not really match the descriptor on the menu.
