Great B&B, with warm and welcoming hosts, Mel and Fred. Room was perfect for our weekend break away celebrating my husband's birthday. Walked only a few minutes to the village of Lyndhurst with bars, restaurants, shops and tea places. Everything on the doorstep. Fred was great to chat to about the local area and Mel cooked a full breakfast which was just what we needed to set us up for our full day. Highly recommend this B&B. Great location, friendly, warm and clean.

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst spending time exploring the new forest. The house just feels very small for a B&B and there just isn't any sense of privacy or space. It literally feels like staying around your nan's sister's house. The hosts are trying but they could do so much better. The interior doesn't look old and charming and it doesn't have character, it needs to be redecorated. The hosts were nice and friendly but they could do with taking this a bit more seriously. I am shocked to see it rated so highly considering the price of it. I appreciate they're not trying to be a 5 start hotel but this is a long way off from a quality B&B.

I stayed for 2 nights with my husband on our first visit to the New Forest and Acorns was well located to the town centre and very comfortable and quiet. I would certainly recommend to family and friends.

We stayed her for a few nights recently because of the excellent reviews and were very disappointed. We go away a lot and have stayed in many different types of establishments and this was one of the poorest. Mel was extremely friendly and helpful but this didn’t make up for the poor standards. It was very unattractive on arrival and the so called parking was risible. Two largish cars really struggled. The room was quite small and there wasn’t even a chair to sit on. The bathroom was actually quite dirty, and it wasn’t just a stained bath because I attempted to wipe it and the dirt came off on my finger. Breakfast was only average, and the home made preserves were very unattractively presented, so much so that we gave them a miss. No croissants or similar and very slow service. Nice to chat to Mel but she should have been cooking the breakfast!
