We parked our car at the pub car park and set off on a leisurely 2 hour sub zero 5 mile circular walk around hatchet pond, along Furzey lane, though Hawkhill Inclosure across Bagshot Moor and back to the Turfcutters. Arriving back at the car park just before 12:00 we entered into a lovely warm room with roaring open fire...

We had an overnight stay on New Years Eve, food was excellent the atmosphere really good lots of locals and all very friendly, staff were attentive and friendly. Only downside was the uplift in the room charge without any prior knowledge (rooms were booked some time before) from £95 to £125 just because it was New Years Eve seems quite...

This is a real unpretentious New Forest pub. Frequented by loyal locals & visitors alike. The food is a cut above normal pub fare. Friendly staff, warm welcome, open fire, very dog friendly, 'there are normally a few dog biscuits on offer'. Ideal stop off point for walkers or horse riders. Its on the edge of the old East Boldre...

Had our Christmas work party here for over 20 people .. food all came out at the same time with no problems. No compromise on quality either. Very impressed 👍second xmas meal with parish council was of a similar very high standard. Sea bass was spot on as we're the traditional Christmas meals and puddings . Great bar staff 😉...

Called into the Turfcutters for Friday lunch. We received a very warm welcome from the landlord. There was a good choice of food which arrived promptly and was delicious. A good selection of ales were on offer.

With a wonderfully genial host (beer qualities explained and samples offered where necessary) and great staff, this pub, with its open fires and beautifully cooked and presented fresh food, is everything that is missing in most British pubs these days. Can't recommend highly enough.

Dropped in on a Sunday for a quick bite for 4 and must say we loved it. Its clearly a locals pub as well ( always a good sign) as the landlord seemed to know loads of people. Loved the friendly welcoming atmosphere, great menu, quick delivery and great pub food. A warm welcoming fire in the grate and dog...

We have just had a wonderful two night stay at the Turfcutters Arms. This place is right in the heart of the New Forest, with some Lovely walks just outside the front door, with nothing but a vast expanse of unspoilt land - and lots of ponies and donkeys! As soon as we checked in, we were warmly welcomed by...
