We were put in a room in an annexe, despite paying the full price. Breakfast was promised at 7.30am, but the main building was locked until 7.47am and my partner had to leave to get breakfast elsewhere (after we had knocked every door for 20 mins, only to find there was no one there to prepare breakfast). The manager, who...

A wonderful country pub for food and drink. I love popping down to this friendly pub on my lunch break as i know the food will be good quality, served quickly and by friendly staff. A must visit location, if you are in the area.

On arrival we were greeted by lovely staff Who could not have been more helpful and charming. The place was buzzing on a Thursday evening, it was freezing outside and as warm as toast inside. We had a bottle of Pinot Blush which went down very well. As a side dish I love to have olives with bread oils &...

We arrived early but this was not an issue, we were shown to our table by staff that were accommodating and friendly. The Sunday lunch lived up to how it was described on the menu. The steak pie was tender and tasty, the roast beef melted in your mouth and the poached egg served with the smoked haddock was soft...

I dropped in here on a Sunday lunchtime after a dog walk. My family all had a roast each which arrived within minutes. I had 4 roast potatoes which were very pale in colour and not at all crispy. One of which was huge and about 5 inches long! I didn't eat it. The gravy was almost non existent and...

The rooms are well appointed & comfortable and have free Wi-Fi which is great as I was in the area for business. What can I say about the food -...

We went for Sunday roast lunch with three people. One had beef, one lamb, one pork. None of us enjoyed our meals, although the one starter, chicken liver pate was good. The meats tasted virtually identical to each other and we did not believe they were fresh cooked but rather thought they were bought in sliced in catering packs. The...

Sat out the back as we had a dog with us and the front bar was full. Fortunately it wasnt too cold. Shared three sharers between two of us. The camembert with crusty bread and veg platter were lovely. A little bit on the pricey side. Very accommodating with the gluten free bread but it would have been better if...

They made our Family wedding weekend so very special.  The rooms were super. Everyone of the staff made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room staff were kind, courteous and efficient. The bar and restaurant staff were fabulous. The breakfasts each morning were delicious. They set us up well for each day. Even though they were...
