A group of us popped in for a light lunch, after having completed a long walk in Ashridge. The pub was cozy and warm, and the welcome from the staff was cheerful. The menu looked really varied, I wish we had the appetite for a full meal. So we basically all ordered from the starter menu, which was excellent. I...

We chose to go to the Greyhound because it looked like it would be a step above normal pub food. Certainly the prices are a lot higher (£147 for 4) but we would have been happy with that if the quality was there...it wasn't. When my daughter asked if she could change order sweet potato fries instead of chips she...

The roast dinners here are excellent & they staff were friendly enough. The pub looks nice and the price is reasonable. The one downside, was that we were in and out within 40 minutes. Would have been nice to just relax but the turnover of guests was high.

We had dinner last night with a group of twelve. Food was delicious and service impeccable - everyone really enjoyed. The Christmas menu was very extensive and there was lots too choose from. Also loved the ambience of the place - a cosy bar and warm inviting dinning area. Will be going back.

For the second time this month I experienced a wonderful night at The Greyhound. The first was a birthday meal for my husband - lovely food and very accommodating staff (and chef) for my fussy daughter! Second meal was a girls night out - food was superb, as always and the service impeccable- can't fault it - except for my...

A warm and welcoming atmosphere with very friendly staff. Lovely log burner in the bar to welcome us whilst we chose our menu, Wide range of food from starters to mains and also desserts and we were not disappointed with the selection we made.

We were put in a room in an annexe, despite paying the full price. Breakfast was promised at 7.30am, but the main building was locked until 7.47am and my partner had to leave to get breakfast elsewhere (after we had knocked every door for 20 mins, only to find there was no one there to prepare breakfast). The manager, who...

A wonderful country pub for food and drink. I love popping down to this friendly pub on my lunch break as i know the food will be good quality, served quickly and by friendly staff. A must visit location, if you are in the area.

On arrival we were greeted by lovely staff Who could not have been more helpful and charming. The place was buzzing on a Thursday evening, it was freezing outside and as warm as toast inside. We had a bottle of Pinot Blush which went down very well. As a side dish I love to have olives with bread oils &...

We arrived early but this was not an issue, we were shown to our table by staff that were accommodating and friendly. The Sunday lunch lived up to how it was described on the menu. The steak pie was tender and tasty, the roast beef melted in your mouth and the poached egg served with the smoked haddock was soft...
