Just stayed in one of their lodges. They are absolutely beautifully furnished and fitted. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and very cosy. The lodge was spotlessly clean with a good size bathroom. The host and staff at the Inn were very helpful and friendly. Evening meal was divine, the best steak I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you Riverside, hopefully I’ll be back again very soon.

We booked in for two nights expecting to eat at the riverside at least one evening, but after the first dinner we decided to eat all of our meals there as the food was utterly delicious, and our two dogs were made to feel very welcome! Staff were absolutely brilliant and covid precautions were in place but not obtrusive. The room we had was really nice, and given the lovely food we ate and the wine we drank, we were pleased to be only a few stairs away from a lie down! As I’m a veggie, I was worried about the small menu, but I needn’t have worried as the staff gave me at least two options not in the menu. Overall, would highly recommend. Had a wonderful break, with fab food and lovely wine to boot.

Lovely food local produce, very quiet bar very welcoming staff, maybe have evening meal next time and stay overnight. Dogs are welcome and very dog friendly 😁 visit in summer next time and have a drink next to the river 👍

We stayed in Beechenbank at The Riverside for 2 nights for my husband's 60th Brthday, & absolutely everything about our stay was superb. Our garden room was perfect, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in & a fantastic shower. For the first time ever we stayed somewhere with proper sized towels! The food was exceptionally good, we are still raving about it! My husband has Coeliac Disease, but providing gluten-free meals was no problem at all, he was even presented with a special Birthday pudding complete with candle! The staff were extremely friendly & helpful & genuinely cheerful. They are all Covid aware, our room was spotless & I felt safe in communal areas at all times. We will be recommending 'The Riverside' far & wide & will certainly be going back!

My wife and I stayed in the Hayloft suite for a weekend break. It was clean, spacious, quiet with lovely views. The staff on arrival were excellent and explained the Covid situation. The traditional features in the bar and restaurant areas are wonderful, shows off the age and history of the building. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and compliments to the chef and his team. The quality and presentation would match any fine dining experience. The breakfast menu had a lot of choice and was prepared fresh for your booking slot. The weekend was thoroughly enjoyable.
