Excellent takeaway service from the Roebuck. We enjoyed t-bone steak and lasagne for a very reasonable price. Pay at the shop, pick up from the pub. Superb! Congratulations to Ade and staff for helping keep everyone going in these horrendous "lockdown" days.
We tried here for a meal after reading great reviews and we werent disappointed. We had a warm welcome and greeted by lovely staff both in the bar and restaurant, creating a related relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of options on the menu. Stilton & brandy mushrooms are highly recommended, the beef burger and chips was amazing, well cooked with beautiful flavours. Toffee & honecombe cheesecake for dessert was beautiful. We felt no pressure to finish our meal. Will definitely be back. Credit to all staff- behind the bar, the waitresses and the chef.
Popped in on the way to play bowls down the road. Delicious fish and chips. Specials looked good value with 2 courses for a tenner. Good prices also on the wine as well. Friendly staff. Will certainly call in again when in the area.
We were so well looked after at The Roebuck Inn - nothing was too much trouble for anyone and everyone was very friendly. We ate excellent breakfasts at a time of our choosing. We ate two evening meals there - the 2nd on the Sunday was sorted especially for us as they weren't open for meals by the time we were due to return from our day out. Aside from the convenience the food we had was all excellent. The rooms were plenty good enough for us - everything worked, everything was very clean. Can't fault it.
Sampled their deal on a Wed evening which is 2 for £10 or 3 for £13. We went for the 3 course option- Absolute bargain and food was delicious and well presented. We all had a great evening and would highly recommend !
Wednesday and today Thursday 6pm to 8pm - 3 course meal for £15. Wow what value. We got a family meal and drinks for three adults under £50. Good choice of meals. This lovely village pub with local ales really deserves more attention as cars use the nearby bypass. The decor outside could do with a splash of paint but the friendly welcome makes up for the tired appearance.
Came here with my wife on a last minute 2 nights trip Thursday to Saturday morning. Cost £137 from booking. Com We had the family room which had a king size bed ensuite shower an tv Team making facilities were there with coffee tea biscuits and hit chocolate Room was clean and tidy and no problems at all There are only 3 rooms available We had breakfast inc in the price The full English breakfast was lovely with egg black pudding mushrooms bacon sausages toast unlimited tea or filtered coffee orange juice There was also cereal if you wanted I can honestly say that it was the hottest breakfast we have ever had My only complaint about it was that we had to be there by 9.00 am which is to early. We ate there the 2 nights and the food was good I had the T bone the one night £17.00 my wife paid but was worth it. My wife ordered a burger which when arrived was still red in the middle. So she sent it back . A fresh burger arrived cooked perfect. At the end of the night they took the burger off the bill which was nice as we did not ask them to or complain about it. The staff are friendly and attentive an nothing is to much for them The locals in the bar were friendly and there is a pool table and juke box there also Ludlow is about 5 miles away an well worth a visit. Leominster is about 7 miles away in the other direction . Not a lot there . You could spend a hour or so there. …
I literally cannot rate this place high enough. We walked from little Hereford to this pub on our Sunday half term walk. When we arrived the outside seating was bathed in sun!! We had baguettes in mind but sadly it was only roasts on the menu. Panic, what will we feed the children, it’s a small country hamlet eeeeek!! The staff could not be more accommodating!! They made beautiful rolls with multiple fillings on offer, 3 huge bowls of chips and the lady chef made my fussy 3 year old an egg mayonnaise roll from scratch even though she was extremely busy and had had a busy Sunday lunch to contend with. The landlord was so friendly and welcomed us with a smile and friendly hospitality. This place is a little gem and they literally fell over backwards to accommodate us (4 adults and 3 children). Thank you soooooo very much. Your staff are an asset to you. Would highly recommend!!!!…
very good - clean spacious and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and the food offered was cooked to order and very enjoyable. Only 3 rooms - but well maintained and despite being part of the pub - there was minimal noise. Just off A49 Couple of miles from Ludlow - ideal place to use as base for walking - which we did. - Ludlow is well worth a visit as well
Booked for overnight stay very friendly staff arrived early which seemed to be no problem shown to a very comfortable room large double bed with all mod cons looked newly decorated very clean and tidy breakfast very substantial and freshly cooked evening meal also delicious and very reasonably priced would recommend booking table as it was busy lunch time and evening when we stayed
