My partner and I had a very pleasant stay at the Holly Tree - very comfortable, quiet, large room and a full home-cooked breakfast with every option - including gluten-free bread for myself. Host wore mask at all times and all Covid regulations observed. Plenty of hand sanitiser available. Highly recommended.
Returning to this B&B is always enjoyable. It is clean and warm as is the reception of mine hosts. The breakfast is great and Nigel always manages a nice “dippy” egg for me . The linen and bathrooms are always spotless and the beds comfortable. Should you decide a stay in this part of picturesque Herefordshire, don’t miss the opportunity of a stay in this very accommodating, accommodation.
Stayed for three nights while doing a course nearby. Really convenient location about 5-10 mins walk from the centre of Bromyard and with free parking. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished. The bed was comfortable and the room warm, dark and free from noise either internally or externally. Breakfast was a highlight. Had three different dishes between us during our stay, all of which were well made with good quality ingredients and generous portions. What really made the stay was the attitude of the staff. I’m old enough to have stayed in B&Bs when it was usual for the customer to be seen as an inconvenience. Sharon was friendly and welcoming throughout, which gives the Holly Tree a relaxed and homely feel. She also gets kudos for calling me to tell me I’d left something behind. Carefully packing it and putting it in the post the same day. Thanks! I would certainly stay here again. It’s fabulous. …
Good size bed and comfortable accommodation, owner was very friendly and helpful, room was very good on the ground floor.Te road was very busy but went quiet after 10 and we had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was first rate and would take a lot of beating.
Nice clean rooms, although the bathroom was unheated and the shower poor. Horrendously rude and passive/ aggressive owners, who don’t serve breakfast at 9.30 on a Sunday morning because, “the people booked in on Friday night didn’t turn up, so we left a note out (on the breakfast counter, not visible on the way to the bedrooms, where there is no information whatsoever) and you were supposed to place an order last night, if you wanted breakfast”!! When I asked how we could have known about the hand scrawled note in the breakfast room, when quietly and considerately finding our rooms on arrival after midnight, I was told by the proprietor that I must have been “drunk or on whatever”, with a hand to nose gesture indicating an accusation of illicit drug use, to have not seen their carefully hidden note! There was no explanation as to why the non arrival of their Friday night booking had led them to take out their frustration on the following night’s paying guests, but that is what they did. The owner then called me an “a***hole” twice, and said “there’s the door, Bourrée à trois temps now f**k off!” I did not swear or lose my temper, although I was flabbergasted by this meltdown from this confused and angry man. Not the best start to the day while working away from home. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you prefer verbal abuse to breakfast!…
