It’s the little things that make an experience and the Grove and its accompanying Glass house restaurant and Sequoia Spa have mastered this. A night away has left us feeling like we have had a full week holiday. From beginning to end this was truly an experience to remember. The sequoia spa was the definition of the word relaxing, I have visited a LOT of spas and this rivalled most. We had a 80 minute de-stress massage package which was like no other treatment I have had before. The massage its self was good but it was the little things that made it such an experience, and it didn’t feel like you were being rushed through on a conveyor belt like some spas. The feet washing, sensory testing, bolster under the ankle, heated blanket all contributed to a well executed and fully enjoyable experience. The spa facilities added even more, the relaxation room was a high light. The pool is Olympic worthy and warmed to perfection. The women’s heat experiences are definitely one to be experienced. Highly recommend this spa and I am hard to impress. The Grove hotel itself continued this luxury experience with its amazing rooms. Guest services were super accommodating and very good at making you feel special. The whatsapp me before our stay to help me prepare for my arrival and to see if they could help with any special arrangements. Our room was kindly upgraded as it was my boyfriend’s birthday and this made a special impression. The room had a wonderful garden view and balcony, a huge bath and shower and a king sized bed, just a wonderful aesthetic which made you feel in great luxury. All the amenities you could need, stacked mini bar and snacks, TV with Netflix and so many other choices of TV apps you could need, iron, complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. This hotel has 300 acres of grounds to explore, from beautiful gardens to a huge golf course. A plethora of activities across the grounds to take part in from archery to bike riding and even hot air balloon rides, there’s also a walled outside swimming pool. There loads of free parking too if you are driving. We had dinner at the luxury buffet in The Glasshouse restaurant. The selection of food was smaller than I expected however the quality is what matters and The glasshouse delivered. Fresh pasta station, India station, Asia station, Rotisserie station, desserts station. It was fresh, to a high quality and absolutely delicious. It was £65 PP in the week, more on the weekend but you get your moneys worth. The staff are attentive but don’t make you feel rushed, it was a very enjoyable experience. I would 100% recommend The Grove, it still stands true that you get what you pay for but those little added thoughts and extras can really elevate an experience to beyond expectations.

I have read the one star review by Carly b and am shocked. To give that rating and no explanation as to what she actually expected or prescise constructive feed back makes me wonder why her review was posted! This place for me was an explosion of excitement and wonder at every turn! The decoration of the rooms awesome! The personal touches and effort with the floral arrangements spot on! The buffet whilst quite pricy at 80 pound per head was superb and the variety and flavours gives all kudos to the Chef and team. Thank you Eva your service was brilliant! The gardens interesting and an absolute joy to walk around. Would love to come back!

For the price you pay to stay here, I was expecting a hell of a lot more, having stayed in hotels that actually warrant a 5 star hotel but are actually cheaper! You can tell all of the money has gone into the golfing and the groups and not much else. I have actually been here previously for a cinema event and assumed the rest of the hotel would be just as good, however it all stops at the reception, the room was nice but not that of a 5 star standard and looked like it needed a good re paint, the corridors of the hotel resembled a school nursery and the 'worlds famous buffet' was a huge let down! The spa was very basic and walking from the hotel to the spa would could see all the pipes through a window and was not relaxing at all. If I had paid half of the price of what I paid that would just about suffice, if you are looking for luxury I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for just a golfing day I'm sure it would be perfect for that.

Had coffee and ice cream in the Lounges as it was my last day with my 3 year old before she starts Nursery. Maria was so warm, friendly yet professional. Ice cream was delicious! 5 star hotels can sometimes feel unwelcoming, especially to children, but as always, The Grove balances warmth, family amd friendliness with luxury. Thank you for making our last day together special. PS Beautiful blossoms in the corridors and lobby.

We first heard about the Grove through Grace Dent’s Million Dollar Buffet programme on Netflix, and thought we’d give it a go. Our room was excellent, and the Glasshouse buffet was fantastic. It had all the stations you would expect; soup, salad, fish, pasta, roast, Chinese, Indian, etc, etc, but the sheer volume of choice at each, was very impressive. The quality and taste were phenomenal. The room was large, well appointed, and very clean. The various bars, and salons, were also great. Staff throughout the hotel, and the Glasshouse were very friendly, and professional. I couldn’t fault a single one of them, which is not always the case, unfortunately. The grounds, although we didn’t take advantage of them, were also spectacular, for somewhere that close to London, and more fitting to a Jane Austin novel. All-in-all, this is a superb hotel, and well worth the star rating; again, not always a given!

We absolutely loved our stay here, very friendly, helpful, clean, spacious and lots of activities. The pool was large, clean and the spa experience was divine. I had the Be Silent 80 minute treatment and was floating in how bliss it was. The kids loved the activities, clearly loads to do in the summer for younger kids when they open up the outside area. We stayed 2 nights, dinner at Madhus the first night, it was OK, service was brilliant but the dining area was very cramped and you could hear everyone's conversations. Second night in the glasshouse for the buffet which was lovely, birthday recognition and lots of quality food with good variety . Breakfast was just as good both days. Nothing to fault. We went to the local Top Golf which was lots of fun and Watford Hindu Tenmple which was the home of the Beetles George Harrison and witnessed beautiful prayers and worship. The Grove is my new fave UK destination and 2 further trips booked.
