We are pleased to offer glamping pods & luxury lodges in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The luxury lodges are equipped with a master bedroom with en-suite and walk-in wardrobe, twin bedroom, bathroom, fully-stocked kitchen/diner, lounge, TV, bluetooth speaker, free wi-fi, patio with outdoor seating, BBQ/firepit and panoramic views of the countryside. Our glamping pods encourage a digital detox and are equipped with a double bed, kitchenette, dining area, and bathroom with walk-in shower. Small to medium-breed dogs are welcome in the glamping pods only for £40 per pod. Outdoor dining is available with BBQ/firepit. Also on site is a laundry room with self-serve washer/dryer and additional shower facilities. Caplor Glamping & Lodges is ideally situated for those walking the Wye Valley Walk being right on the route.

As returning visitors to Caplor, it never disappoints, from the beautiful and tranquil location to the friendly welcoming staff. Would highly recommend for a relaxing, peaceful getaway with lovely walks around Caplor and beyond, down by the river Wye. Great place to recharge nestled in amongst the spectacular scenery. Will definitely be returning for our fourth visit in 2024. The pods are spacious and incredibly clean and inviting, why not use the fire pit and sit and relax with a glass .. or two.

Absolutely beautiful location. We stayed in three pods (3 couples) and were all very surprised by how well equipped they were and how spacious they are! Although there are 5 pods on the site it felt very private in the three we had. Would 100% stay here again. Fit pit and BBQ were an excellent addition- would highly recommend :)

Stayed here for a weekend. The pod was charming and in an excellent location. The bathroom was better than expected for a pod of this size. All the amenities were provided for that we required (utensils, soap, toilet paper, towels etc). The bed was comfy too. The fire pit was a welcome addition so bring your own fire starters etc. The location was beautifully set in the farm land, with stunning views and some great walks. Easy to find and get too. The hosts communicated everything clearly. Would stay here again.

WE CHOSE THIS VENUE DUE TO GOOD REVIEWS ( PODS NOT LODGES) FOR A SPECIAL WEEKEND WITH FRIENDS. ON ARRIVAL WE LOCATED THE LUXURIOUS LODGE AND LET OURSELVES IN TO DISCOVER A DIRTY SINK, DUSTY TV AND TABLE, BROKEN WASTE BIN, NO CLOCKS WORKING AND NO HAND SOAP WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PROVIDED. THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE WAS THAT THERE WAS NO HEATING OR HOT WATER. IT WAS COLD. EFFORTS WERE MADE TO CONACT THE OFFICE AND EMERGENCY NUMBER WITHOUT SUCCESS DUE TO IT BEING A BANK HOLIDAY. OFFICE CLOSED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY. A CARETAKER NOT EMPLOYED BY THE COMPANY FINALLY ATTENDED AND CALLED OUT A GAS ENGINEER WHO ATTENDED LATER THAT EVENING BUT AS HE WAS NOT QUALIFIED HE COULD NOT FIX BOILER STATING AN ERROR CODE F28 WAS THE PROBLEM INDICATING A IGNITION PROBLEM. SPECIAL BIRTHDAY MEAL HAD TO BE CANCELLED AS WE COULD NOT ATTEND. THE CARETAKER STATED AN ENGINEER WOULD ATTEND FIRST THING NEXT DAY,FIRST CALL, BUT THIS DID NOT HAPPEN UNTIL LATER CARETAKER GAVE US TWO BOTTLES OF UNPALATABLE WINE WHICH HE STATED WERE GIVEN TO HIM FROM PRE OUS GUESTS.. HE COULD NOT ASSIST ANY FURTHER AS HE WAS NOT EMPLOYED BY CAPLOR BUT HE WAS FRIENDLY. WE ASKED WHERE WE COULD SHOWER AND HE SHOWED US SHOWERS IN THE STABLE BLOCK WHICH WE USED BUT WERE ONLY FIT FOR ANIMALS AND PROBABLY A HEALTH HAZARD. I COULD NOT EVEN SHAVE IN THE SINK IN THE LODGE AS THE SINK WOULD NOT HOLD WATER. IN OUR OPINION WE FELT IT WEAS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND REQUESTED A FULL REFUND AS THE WHOLE WEEKEND WAS SCUPPERED. WE WERE ONLY OFFERED A REFUND FOR ONE NIGHT, WE FELT A FAIRER OFFER OF TWO NIGHTS REFUND WAS MORE APPROPRIATE. THE COMPANY REFUSED ALTHOUGH ADMITTING THEY NEED TO CHANGE THINGS. THAT WILL NOT HELP US AND WE CERTAINLY WOULD NOT GO THERE AGAIN. THE ONLY POSITIVE WAS THAT THE VIEWS WERE OUTSTANDING.…

As explained in our direct email communications: when there is no hot water or heating, we have 24 hours for an engineer to inspect and repair the problem. Unfortunately, our out-of-hours contractor did let us down, however, we arranged for another engineer to attend and the problem was solved within 24 hours, (bearing in mind this was over a bank holiday weekend). The boiler fault was simply one of those things and couldn't have been predicted; this has happened on only one other occasion and the guests were very understanding. Garry is our caretaker, however, as we are sure you are aware, only qualified gas engineers can work on a boiler. Both Garry and our housekeeping team bent over backwards to accommodate you and make you as comfortable as possible. The shower block you used was due to undergo full refurbishment the following week and those works have been completed; you were however offered the opportunity to shower in an available glamping pod instead. We refute your claim re the lodge being dirty as all lodges are checked prior to guests checking in and we pride ourselves on a high standard of service, as evidenced by the many positive reviews on other booking platforms. We are unsure why you cancelled your meal plans, as Garry was perfectly happy to allow access for the engineer so you could enjoy your break away, however, you refused to do this and chose to stay at the lodge. The wine was provided as a gift so that you could still celebrate. In terms of compensation for the inconvenience caused by the boiler, you were refunded but only for the first night as this was the duration in which the boiler was not working. As mentioned previously, the issue was resolved within 24 hours, therefore a refund for the entire stay was not warranted, and the decision to cancel your celebratory plans was entirely yours. On the first night, after speaking to a member of the office staff, you mentioned that you were considering leaving and we informed you that if you did so, we would of course refund you for the remaining nights, however, you chose to stay for the entire duration of the booking.
