Great hospitality and warmth of welcome from the landlady. The room was comfortable and it was good to have access to a bath en suite after a day of walking. The breakfast was a delight and the porridge.......

We are three ladies walking Offa's Dyke in sections and stayed here for three nights using it as a base. We have nearly completed the walk and this was by far one of the best B&B 's we have stayed in. Susan is the perfect host. Friendly and welcoming, lovely tea and cake each afternoon and an excellent breakfast. We... More

We were walking Offas Dyke and enjoyed a very warm welcome after the days trek. Tea and cake on arrival and the luxury of a bath tub. Mine host gave us a run down of the towns pubs and restaurants. The comfortable rooms were complimented with a fine breakfast. All in all the perfect stopover.

We were in the process of completing the 177 mile Offas Dyke walk and our host made us feel very welcome which is always great after a long days walk. Susan was very friendly with tea and cake when we arrived and a great, healthy breakfast to set us up for another long walking day. I would definitely recommend to... More

We based ourselves at De Lacy House for 5 days walking Offa's Dyke with friends. It's in an ideal position for this with several reasonably priced eating places within walking distance. We were made very welcome by Susan who "went the extra mile" to make us feel at home. We particularly appreciated the tea and cakes offered to us on... More

We received the warm welcome we had come to expect on this walk accompanied by tea and cake on arrival. Damp clothes taken to boiler room for drying and newspaper provided for insertion into damp boots. Lovely and bright ensuite bedroom and guest lounge to relax in. This is the place to stay for an outstanding breakfast - the fresh... More

We were two couples who stayed overnight after finishing the walk from Hay on Wye to Kington. Susan gave us a warm welcome and - best of all - she quickly provided a top dollar tray of tea with excellent cake and Millionaire's shortbread. We had the double bed with adjacent bathroom which was all very good and comfortable. It... More
