The place was great: welcoming, clean and quaint. Caroline is really nice and was always available. The breakfast was mainly homemade and delicious. I really recommend this peaceful place which is in addition located in a nice part of the Isle of Wight.

Had a lovely two week holiday on the Isle of Wight stayed at the Cart House. A converted property on the estate of Gotten Manor. Really peaceful setting. On arriving was greeted by the Lady of the Manor who provided us with a lovely basket of fresh vegetables from her garden.

We stayed at Gotten Manor for two weeks in the summer. It's a nice location if you like peace and quiet - the road is probably a mile away down the driveway. This makes it a very safe location for children to run around. The accommodation is nice - though very IKEA. A bunch of things need replacing as neither...

We had the most wonderful stay here at the Milk House Greeted by the glamorous and thoughtful owner Caroline, we couldn't have felt more spoilt during our stay. A fabulous ecostay, beautiful building, massive well equipped kitchen, baths in bedrooms, fluffy towels, marvellous views. We would recommend this to literally everyone we know

We stayed at Gotten Manor on our wedding night in one of the b&b rooms whilst my family stayed in one if the barns and I can say everything was absolutely wonderful. Our b&b room was cosy and romantic with a real charm I have not found anywhere else, Caroline the owner (who knew it was our wedding night) was...

Dear Ali, Thank-you so much for your kind comments. It was a pleasure to have you and your family to stay in July. The weather couldn't have been better for your special day. Hopefully you and your new husband will be back for a return visit - wedding anniversary perhaps?! Kind Regards, Caroline

We were very disappointed by this very poor quality self-catering "barn". It is not shabby chic, nor agricultural chic. Just shabby and in desperate need of maintenance and upgrading. Furniture is unexceptional. Too much basic MDF or plywood. Too much damage caused by previous occupants is unrepaired. Kitchen work top shows signs of years of water penetration. Kitchen utensils are...

Dear Barry and Bridget, Thanks-you for your feedback. It is most welcome. It was lovely to have you to stay in the Cart House. I am sorry that, from your remarks, your experience was not as you or I would have hoped. I was happy to resolve the concerns that you brought to my attention during your stay. We usually...

We stayed here for three nights in July and had a lovely time. Our room was amazing - big high ceiling with an ancient chimney running up one wall, huge bath in the corner, and a beautiful antique double bed, with ample bedding. The breakfast was fantastic. Delicious fresh warm croissants, cooked eggs etc and smoked salmon on our last...

At the end of a long (and bumpy - don't bring your Ferrari!) lane, Gotten Manor is a wonderfully peaceful spot just under St Catherine's Down at the southernmost tip of the Isle of Wight. The welcome from Caroline is really warm and the b&b accommodation lovely - a big room with thick stone walls under a high raftered roof...

We recently stayed for 3 nights at this tranquil and quirky b and b. Room was very comfortable and Caroline made us very welcome with a wonderful breakfast. Quite a long rough road to traverse but this makes for a very peaceful and beautiful location.
