I've been here so many times to stay and eat and probably will again, but yesterday's visit for Sunday lunch was not a good one. The first issue sounds trifling but it was slightly ridiculous. Daughter ordered the nut roast and asked if it were possible to have a Yorkshire with it. The waitress seemed as though she wanted to...

We stayed in the Indian Summer house at the back of Albert Cottage as dog friendly accommodation on a visit to see family on the IOW. Overall the whole experience was very good. The Indian Summer house is a historic garden building which has been converted for overnight accommodation. That said the original building was built for a Queen and...

We stayed at the Albert Cottage Hotel and took the Bridal Suite. We'd just come from an absolutely wonderful place in the Cotswolds and, to be honest, this didn't compare. The hotel has an 'institutional' feel (the office is open for all to see into) and felt rather run down. The lounge was shut throughout our visit: 'out of order'....

Stayed here for one night and booked through booking.com, £110 for 2 people bed and breakfast. We were greeted by a very smartly dressed gentleman, shown to our room and taken down beautiful Victorian style corridors to our room. Victorian but nice and bright decor. Our room had its own entrance with the bedroom being separate to the bathroom. Gorgeous...

Yesterday (6th Dec) my husband, mother-in-law and I went to the Albert Cottage restaurant and chose the Turkey Christmas lunch. We were not disappointed, it was well presented and everything was cooked to perfection and I must say it was the best restaurant cooked Christmas Turkey meal I have ever eaten!!

We stayed at Albert cottage using a price is Wight voucher (£89.00) included 2 course evening dinner, overnight stay and breakfast. We stayed in the family suite, was huge! Dated but clean & tidy. The food was ok but lacked taste, I had mushroom tartlet for starter which was lovely, then roast chicken with cabbage and potatoes yet the 'veg'...
