What a gorgeous gem of a hotel. Perfect location, lovely building, very nice gardens, wonderful dining room, fabulous public rooms and the bedrooms are lovely and what with the friendly staff, this hotel is just perfect. We very much appreciated the efforts put in by the current owner. We had our little dog with us and had the dog friendly room (Alice) for two nights which was huge and absolutely brilliant, in fact it was a collection of rooms. We would not hesitate to return to this lovely boutique hotel and also recommend it to family and friends but unfortunately whilst we were there a major problem occurred in the kitchens resulting in the food both evenings being an absolute let down to this superb hotel and rather spoilt our few days away but as previous reviewers have commented positively on their dining experience we are sure this will be or has been rectified and they will be back to their normal level of excellence. A fantastic hotel. Felt welcome right from the get go. Phillip was a superb host and an extremely helpful member of an efficient team. Our room was of a high standard and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was top notch and dinner superb. A stunning place to stay.

Stayed for two nights in October 23. Our room was really spacious and very comfortable. Staff were extremely efficient with the booking and very friendly. Food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend staying here and it’s somewhere different with lots of history and character.

We stayed here for a long weekend and were very happy with the experience. This is a historic building, not an anonymous chain hotel. Rooms and furnishings are individually styled (and very comfortable). Staff were a perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism. Highly recommended.

What a great find ., lovely rooms , great service and first class food. The hotel is in a beautiful setting on the edge of the Osborne Estate. Well worth a stay. You are close to Cowes and all the other interesting places on the island. The Lighthouse is worth a visit,

Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is great for location, ambiance, service and comfort. The breakfasts are made to order with all you could expect served by the young guys who look after you well. Food choice is good. The bar & outdoor gardens make a lovely place to just sit & relax in the sunshine (26'), wine & beer prices are average but a good selection. Our bedroom (6, Helena) was at the rear overlooking the carpark & extensive gardens.. no issues with noise and good views plus quieter than at the front. The room is very big and the bathroom has a bath & shower. All the amenities you need. The bed could do with a new mattress (too soft) but guess thats in the plan Annie? Didnt eat in the restaurant but others say its just as good. So, summing up, 4.5 stars in my view, great little gem...enjoy your stay.…

My wife and I have just returned from a one night stay for the Dinner, Bed, Breakfast and Opera package. All I can say is superb - stunning venue, lovely accommodating staff and breakfast..... excellent. Also for an historic building - made very accessible to those with mobility issues.

My husband booked Albert cottages for R Wedding anniversary to stay over on 13th August. We arrived a little bit early for check in but the men said that was ok. We checked in & Was shown around then up to the room .We had room 5 . The room was lovely & big also the bathroom .The room was lovely & clean . Good choice of teas & coffee also Bottle water . Lovely quality of bedding .very good night sleep. Bathroom nice & clean plenty of Towles. Went to the bar for a drink I had gin & tonic very nice. Hubby had coke. Very good. Breakfast was amazing plenty of choice for Buffet. The full English was very good. Tasty sausages & bacon . Tomatoes lush .Egg dun to my liking. Nice pot of tea. Toast good plenty of it. Lovely place to stay for a romantic time away. Beautiful place & setting.would definitely stay there again .Thank you to all the lovely staff For A Lovely stay.…

A lovely afternoon tea tainted by the fact that one of my daughters requested a hot chocolate drink in preference to tea . She was very quickly told she would have to pay extra for this despite the fact that the other three members of our group had two pots of tea and she had none . Sometimes it is not what you say but the manner in which it is said . On leaving the same waitress was very quick , too quick , to ask for the payment . We duly paid but were not impressed .

Lovely spot for a wedding lovely grounds and Rose garden We didn’t get time to use the restaurant but this had inside and outside seating areas overlooking the gardens Breakfast was delightful with attentive staff We stayed for the festival which is about an hours walk away although we drove 5mins away Buses also stop close by Rooms were traditional with modern en-suites
