The lodge was spacious, it was very basic (and only just acceptably clean), but considering what we paid for it, we were not expecting any different. The swimming pool is lovely, and the soft play is an extra added bonus too. We had breakfast at...More
I'm afraid we were very disappointed in the accommodation at Gurnard Pines. The lodge was really in need of updating. The carpets were stained and old and the beds were frankly disgusting. There was no mattress cover and the mattresses were stained and the bottom...More
We have stayed here several times before. The location is lovely, leisure facilities clean, quiet and modern. The rustic lodge we stayed in however was really tired. The carpet stained, bathroom mouldy, really old broken furniture and general upkeep poor. This is a real shame...More
Accommodation was basic but spacious, is in need of updating as seemed very old. More attention to cleaning inside is needed as under beds, sofas, behind cupboards which had not been moved for some time and windows were thick with cobwebs. Staff were extremely friendly...More

The bungalow was basic and a little tired, but overall clean and tidy....More

I havent been back so cant speak from personal experience but my friend lives in Cowes & uses the indoor pool which she says is ok but expensive. She looked round so we could answer you & says nothing has improved around the site. She talked to a woman who lives there. A lot of the road lights are out of order. Some chalets are on really bad roads. My friend says the wooden chalets behind the fence on the left as you go in are still disused & she has seen badgers & foxes now its dark around there. Locals told her its all run down due to lack of money & facilities. The cafe is all frozen food & overpriced. They close very early. There is no shop..take food, drinks, tea towels, loo rolls. Hope that helps.
