I stayed at The Albion in October for a craft workshop from a Thursday to Sunday. On check in no one seemed to know if we were booked in but because we were early we left our suitcases and caught a bus to alum bay. When we went for dinner the menu said the meal was beef stew buttered new...

I used to visit Freshwater bay about 10 years ago and stay in the Albion. The hotel has definitely improved since my last visit. The staff are great, food excellent, sea view room was perfect for my one night stay. 3 course meal for 10 pounds..! 10 pound breakfast, good quality and choice. The exterior of the hotel looks tired...

Went to this hotel a few years ago on a TR trip and was not overly impressed then. However again on a TR trip we found it had definitely improved. Staff very friendly and could not do enough to accommodate. Definitely a room with balcony is worth paying the extra. Drinks are reasonably priced. Food is extremely cheap if you...

I've just returned from a really fabulous weekend at the hotel. The friendly welcome, extremely helpful and obliging staff, huge well appointed balcony room, very tasty meals with good vegetarian options all good sized for my large appetite all contributed to my hearty enjoyment of this establishment. I was impressed with the setting which is beautiful and was made to...

The situation of this hotel is superb. Our room which was a junior suite was large if a little tired but had two balconies overlooking the sea. Bed very comfy. You could hear the sea at night! However it was badly let down by the food. Breakfast buffet poor & the full English breakfast just a joke. One rasher of...

Visited on a beautiful late summer Sunday afternoon. The place was empty save for a member of staff at the bar who was polite but was unsure if John smiths was bitter or a lager. There is a very limited choice to drink with only keg beer. The bar was empty as was the lounge, so we sat outside overlooking...

An excellent Room, with fabulous views of the coast and the sea; Broadband Speed of around 30Mb ! Disappointing breakfast with a single minuscule sausage tasting of 'soap'. Public areas look tired and uncared for

Stayed 2-6 September. Travelled with my mum and 3 year old daughter. Needing some fresh sea air to finish off recovery after my daughter having major surgery we found the Albion. Over all our stay was ok. The building is beautiful, very tired and the decor is very dark. Found the layout a little illogical though! We had room 216,...

This is really the only hotel of it's type on this end of the Island, so despite a scattering of negative comments on previous reviews we thought we'd try it and opted for one of the (huge!) balcony rooms with a spectacular view over the bay. The young lady on reception was extremely helpful, over and above the call of...

Booked at relatively short notice so the only room left for the Bank Holiday w/e was a suite. This was, however, fortuitous as it was an excellent two-rooms (plus bathroom) complex with beautiful 180 degree views across the bay and not prohibitively expensive. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the chaise-longe likewise, useful to have two TV's and the...
