Although the restaurant was limited to the number of people that could book due to Covid 19, it supplied a wonderful menu. The food was as previously ordered and came in huge portions and all served by great staff, who couldn't do enough for you. This was the first time we were able to book a Christmas Day Dinner as they are usually booked well in advance of Christmas itself, we had booked early this year, as we will for 2021.

We came in a party of 4 for dinner on the recommendation of the Couple we were with. Drinks were ordered & arrived, food was ordered & 50 minutes later we were still waiting!! The lovely young waitress went to check on our order, we then asked a member of staff if we could speak to the Manager about the long wait. In between his arrival part of our meals arrived. It was then said that we'd had to wait for ages for the meals, when they did arrive all i had was a slice of steak pie in gravy on its own, it was another 5 minutes until my husband chips arrived for his steak & my potatoes & vegetables. When we asked the manager what was going on he looked at us as if we were aliens!! He gave no explanation or apology. When the young man collected our plates & asked if everything had been ok with our meals we told him our gripes & he immediately apologised to us for the inconvenience. Maybe the Manager should take a leaf out of his book, that young man will go far. The meals were very nice but would be so much better if they came out together, it is very frustrating, especially as we had waited so long. It wont put me off visiting again next time we come to the island as the food was great. Also hats off to the young lady & young man.

We walked from Seaview today and arrived just after midday. We were very impressed with the Covid precautions followed by all the staff, who were very welcoming whilst explaining their procedure etc. We were seated comfortably with plenty of space around us and the other diners and well attended to. We both had a smaller meal, roast turkey dinner, which was plenty big enough and delicious. Thank you to the staff who really cared for us today! The current climate makes everything that bit awkward but this team made us feel very relaxed.

We visited The Appley Manor Hotel today for lunch. Great Covid 19 measures in place by way of a one way system and hand sanitisers being available. We ordered a cheese & bacon burger, a prawn sandwich and a side order of chips and cheese. The food came out quick, was tasty and presented nicely. For dessert we ordered a creme brulee and lemon meringue pie. The desserts were equally as tasty. The Appley Manor is really good and well worth a visit.
