Unusual, family run hotel in this most select of Island locations with amazing views of the Solent. Very friendly owners and superb atmosphere, other staff very polite and helpful and food also very good. Original 1950's bar with superb views into the garden and down to the waterfront, drinks can also be taken in the lounge complete with vintage radiogram....

We had been prewarned that a stay at this hotel would be different and it certainly lived up to its name Shared bathroom and toilets that seem to have had little updating for many years The breakfast was the best part of the stay with a full English self service available

If big chain conformity is your thing, then The Northbank may NOT be for you. The hotel commands without dispute the best position in Seaview on a steep bluff, it is a characterful Edwardian retreat. We had two rooms - a refurbed Seaview large ensuite and a smaller unrefurbished twin - there is an undeniable difference between the two types...

In a sleepy hollow by the sea, such as Seaview is on the Isle of Wight, you will find tucked away in the road opposite the "Seaview Hotel" the "Northbank". Here time stands still and people return year after year to the England of the past where civility and proper service still exists today. The only "nod" to the 21st...

There are no en suite facilities unless you count a washbasin in the rooms. I wish we'd been warned because I'd have taken a dressing gown had I known. We had two excellent breakfasts, served by a very friendly waitress. We had, probably, the best view I'very ever had from a hotel room. The hotel is right on the beach...

I was invited to the hotel by a friend for an event, otherwise I’d have never discovered it. And I'm so glad I did. This is one of the most charismatic and charming hotels I've ever stayed in. Having flown directly from Glasgow to the hotel (via Southampton airport), it was like going back to a time when “things were...

The location of this hotel is second to none. The gardens go down to the beach. Garden very pretty with a few little tables and chairs. Also very central to the village. This hotel is charming. Extremely comfortable and friendly. Dog and children friendly too. The owners are friendly and welcoming with a touch of eccentricity. Beds very comfortable. If...
