Had a total of three nights here and could not have been made more welcome by Sue and Roger, they are fantastic hosts. We stayed in the garden room and as an asthmatic I had no problems whatsoever with my breathing as another review had indicated. Breakfast is a real treat with lovely fruit and the cooked breakfast is delicious. We would recommend highly. A real home from home.

We stayed at Norton Cottage for one night with two other couples as we were attending a wedding. Lovely rooms, amazing breakfast and beautiful hosts. They looked after us so well, thank you! Definitely recommend and would return in a heartbeat!

Sue and Roger are fabulous and go completely out of their way to make your stay perfect. They picked us up from the Ferry, placed chocolates on our pillow, the room was lovely, private and serene and the breakfast full of healthy local produce. Only 10 mins walk into Yarmouth. You cannot get better! All for only £30 per person. Not really sure how they can make a profit. Fab!

We thought we had booked the Solent Room. We were given the Garden Room which is small and dingy and needs artificial light the whole time. There is no meaningful garden view. Contrary to the information on the website the en suite is very cramped, has poor quality fittings and virtually no where to put anything at all. My husband and I are not very big people. The wi fi signal was too weak to work trying both 8pm and 9 am in the room and in the house dining room

The room smelled musty and damp and I had an asthmatic reaction, the first I have had in 40 years. My husband was not affected, so we stayed 1 night and I hoped it would get better...it didn't.
The owners were very pleasant. I suggest they drastically cut back the vegetation around the room and give the whole place a very thorough spring clean and airing. I also think they should take an honest and critical look at the information on their website and amend it accordingly....

The hosts make it. Excellent B & B 15 minutes walk out of Yarmouth.
We were in the Garden Room, which isn't big, but has all you need. And there is a communal conservatory and sitting out area in the garden.
Clean and most welcoming.
And did I mention the hosts?

We stayed at Norton Cottages for a long weekend break taking both of our elderly mothers. Roger and Sue were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were wonderful - lovely fresh fruit salad to start followed by whatever you wanted! We are hoping to return next year.

I visited here with my brother & sister on a 2 day trip to re-visit places we'd been to on holiday as kids. My sister had stayed here before. Sue & Roger are very welcoming, friendly & eager to please. The annexe we stayed in was comfortable & self contained, with 2 rooms both ensuite. Our own fridge contained water & fresh milk. Coffee & tea & a little chocolate to welcome us. The rooms & beds are comfortable and nicely decorated. There is a nice conservatory for guest use & a large garden where you can sit outside & watch for red squirrels (we saw one). The breakfasts were lovely & cooked to order using local produce. Sue & Roger made us feel special and their attention to detail was appreciated.

My Girlfriend and I stayed at this lovely Cottage on the 23/04/14 for two nights. I kinda picked it at random and have no regrets.
The reason I've only given it an 'Average' score was that the room we was allocated, although functional, was rather small and anymore than a two nights stay would have been too much! Also, the TV provided didn't pick up an adequate signal and kept 'breaking up'. The Radiator in our rooms ( including Shower room ) didn't have an independent On/Off control system and was controlled by the Proprietors using the overall propertys timer ( we was informed that the other rooms did have independent controls )
Saying all that, for the length of time we spent in the place it really wasn't a big deal.
Sue and Roger were very welcoming, pleasant and informative.
The Location was Ok, approx. 15 Min walk to the 'Town Centre', but, because there wasn't an obvious House Number to input into the Sat Nav. we kept driving past when first looking for it!
The Ferry to Lymington is situated only about 3 minutes away.

Sue and Roger - the perfect hosts. Super helpful in respect of where to eat and Isle of Wight attractions. The B&B was clean, bright, modern and extremely comfortable. The rooms had coffee/tea facilities and a splendid little fridge to cool the wine.
The conservatory where we had breakfast was very welcoming and looked out over a large lawn with plenty of opportunity to spot the red squirrels. The breakfast itself was beautifully presented with every possible choice one could hope for including a marvelous fresh fruit salad and organic yogurt. Endless refills of the cafetiere of lovely fresh, hot coffee.
The recommended restaurant - The Blue Crab was absolutely fine and within walking distance.
