Detailed Reviews
My wife and I stayed overnight (we came to Biddenden to visit the excellent West House restaurant). The B&B is in a refurbished extension to the back of the farmhouse. Very comfortable room with lovely wooden floors and rustic farmhouse furniture. We were impressed and pleased with the quality of the amenities (lovely soft towels, good toiletries) and the thoughtful touches (small bottle of wine in the room, etc). Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared.
The owners are also super friendly and helpful and even offered to drive us into biddenden to visit the restaurant! We’d definitely would stay again.

If anyone is worried about being safe during Covid: don't be. Lynn made sure everything was safe and clean and we never once felt at risk. It meant we could relax properly despite everything going on!
The grounds were gorgeous and we spent both nights sitting outside and watching the sun go down.
The rooms were equally as good, nice and cozy with everything we could have wanted (and a bottle of prosecco to boot!).
Breakfast was delicious, despite the limitations of Covid. The breakfast room was equally stunning and I think we spent half of the first morning just looking around at everything!
It's also perfectly located, surrounded by the lovely Kentish countryside. If walking is your thing then you'll find plenty of places to go and you won't be disappointed by the views.
Lastly, the owner, Lynn, was absolutely lovely and made us feel totally welcome throughout our stay. Cannot wait to come back next year once things have, hopefully, returned to some sort of normality!

Definitely one of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in. Lynn is delightful & she couldn’t have been more helpful. She made us the most delicious (& healthy) breakfasts with innovative cooked dishes as well as really fresh fruit, the best kind of croissants, toast made with proper bread, butter on little slate mats and lovely local pear juice.
Very comfortable bed, & everything we needed in the room. Little luxury goodies in the bathroom, and cookies with the large selection of teas & coffees, plus fresh milk & water in the fridge and a wonderful view from our window across the beautiful garden towards the fields beyond. Interesting features in the garden such as the little arbour nestling under the trees, a wagon wheel bench and of course the beautiful pond which is the first thing you see as you drive in.
Lynn has thought of everything and we would 100% recommend this lovely place to stay, & will certainly go back there if we visit Kent again.

My husband was having an operation at Benenden Hospital and I wanted to stay nearby. Barclay Farmhouse is delightful with fabulous gardens and a massive pond in a very tranquil and beautiful setting. Lynn, the owner, made me so very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. My room was very comfortable with a large en suite and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was amazing. I cannot recommend this lovely B&B too highly, nor compliment the owner more for her care of her guests.

The rooms were a little old fashioned but it suited the style of the place that it was situated, the bed was big enough for 2 people and filled the majority of the room. In the room there was a few games such as dominoes. The mini fridge worked well and was stocked with milk and water as well as glasses, and on the desk which had a TV and a drinks tray with all the possibilities of tea and coffee but no hot chocolate. In the draws of the desk there were all the necessary supplies you would need.
The bathroom was impeccably clean, there were slippers in a basked also with flannels and toilet roll, there was also cotton wool pads and all the usual things you would expect to have in a bathroom. The shower was a power shower but the heat never worked it was freezing I came out of the shower cold with goose bumps . It did flood the bathroom a little so we were glad about the extra towels.
The breakfast was lovely, a small dining space to make the place seem cosier. The main breakfast was bacon, eggs, tomato and eggs as a stack , but I just bacon, there was a beautiful bread basket all tasting amazing, there was also a range of cereals and fruits which was lovely.
And Lyn made our stay feel very welcoming especially as it snowed but I would definitely recommend this place!

The house is lovely, spotless and well appointed. The floors are wooden but sound did carry as people walked about in their rooms which was a drawback. Very comfortable beds and excellent showers.
The landlady was very pleasant and helpful but our gripe was with the breakfasts. First course was a lovely fruit salad and cereals, fine but when it came to the cooked part, the usually wonderful treat of a fried breakfast we were offered no choice but were all served a tower of egg, undercooked bacon, a mushroom and a little tomato adorned with a basil leaf. We were told there was no seasoning in this and by golly we knew it, it was tasteless. Whether it was for the lady's convenience that she did this we didn't know but we were very disappointed, Such a shame as a healthy(or in this case tasteless)breakfast is all very well but guests should be allowed to make that choice themselves.

We were two couples staying in this clean and very ambitiously decorated and maintained b&b where the personal and professional touch was noticed in everything! Only two things that were annoying and the reason for the rating: if you stay downstairs and there are guests upstairs you hear every step and move they make, also the wifi was not working as you would expect in such a perfect place. We know, wifi should not be the top priority but if you are in the situation where you visit from abroad and have to combine work and pleasure it is important. Wish we could rate 4.8!!

Great central location for visiting Kent by car. Pretty 2d story (English 1st story) bedroom overlooking the back garden and cultivated fields beyond. On checking in, ask for a breakfast table at the back window so you can watch the tiny rabbits on the lawn. Best B&B breakfast in England, cold and cooked, in a pretty breakfast room. Lynn is also very helpful with suggestions for touring. Highly recommended.

We unfortunately only had one night to enjoy this truly splendiferous place. Lynn is the nicest most welcoming host we have ever met! The room and bathroom are as immaculate as you would expect and the room was really cosy and warm. When it came to breakfast I have to say that I am a huge fan of a good old fashioned cooked breakfast. Lynn's take on this is extraordinary! I don't think we have ever had such an amazing breakfast as this. In fact the whole experience was so fantastic we overpaid! Felt like an episode of four on a bed. Thanks Lynn if you read this cant wait to come back again.

Quiet, peaceful, with a beautiful outlook. Quality furniture, furnishings and exceptional breakfast. Spotlessly clean. What more could you ask for?
So perfect we are planning our next annual trip around staying there again.
