I’ve recently stayed at the Kings Head whilst working in Deal. The entire experience was amazing, the friendliest, kindest of staff, amazing, clean, well kept rooms with great beds and showers and beautifully decorated. Great beer and food that is out of this world. I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue for a beer, a meal or a stay. Thanks so much.

Our first visit to Deal, wonderful couple of nights away to unwind and escape. The Kings Head was an excellent base for us to explore the town. Everything you would want from a charming B&B. Room was large, clean and comfortable with all the necessities. Bed was extremely comfy, good shower, and a really good size TV. We were lucky to have a beautiful large bay window which gave us an amazing view of the sea. The Bar downstairs was really useful for a late night drink before retiring, and we could take drinks up to our room when the Bar closed. Breakfast included was of very good quality and generous portions. We also had the Sunday roast on our first night which was very tasty, and again a really good portion size - you won't be disappointed! What made our stay even better was getting to know the lovely owners, they were so welcoming and accommodating and happy to chat. All of the team we encountered were friendly and more than happy to recommend us places to visit. This warm welcome made this charming pub and guesthouse an exceptional stay. We will be sure to return to Deal and when we do to stay with the Kings Head again. Thanks to all the team!

Popped into this pub this evening with a girlfriend who was celebrating her 50th B’day. Alongside this Emma Raducanu was playing in the US open. Amazing atmosphere……. Until the “manager” behind the bar told us if we didn’t be quiet he would “turn it off” …… really ? This is a momentous occasion! Emma won how amazing is that ! And as soon as the last ball was played and she hit the deck, the manager turned off the screen ……. Seriously what an earth is going on, this is an 18 year old who has just won the US open ……. Really !!!! Very sad that this is not celebrated absolutely poor show!

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. Positives are that it’s in a great location and very quaint English pub B&B. Nice clean room, nice comfy bed and great shower. Now the negatives. We went out for dinner with some friends and then returned with our friends at 9.30 to be told that the pub was shut as the staff were tired and gone home. They said us a residents could have a drink but take it to our room….even though the pub was packed. We decided to go back out. Not a great problem but odd for a bank holiday Monday. The next morning we were woken by the fire alarm at 6.30am we vacated the room but were told it was ok to go back to our room, no explanation was given. We went down for breakfast and were told we didn’t have breakfast included as we had booked through booking.com otherwise it would have been included if we booked direct. We paid £100 for the night. A bit surprised and disappointed to be honest. Shame as that really put us off going back.

Room Tip: Don’t book through booking.com as you don’t get the breakfast part of B&B. Not a lot of parking...

Came for a couple of nights a few weeks ago. Our room looked out to the sea and was comfy with everything we needed! The breakfast here is delicious and the staff are really lovely. Was lovely having the bar downstairs and being able to sit outside as it meant we could have a nightcap. Would definitely visit again.
