Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a wonderful birthday weekend here, part of the kings head pub accommodation. Room was very cosy, great sea view and I covet the whole shower room! The meals in the pub were fabulous and the owner and staff so friendly, couldn't do enough for us and I thoroughly recommend it.

Peter and Ruth welcome you so nicely. The B&B is modern, clean and has a great location right on the sea front. Very comfortable rooms and if you eat there, both breakfast and evening meal are home cooked and delicious. Dinner is at 6, so make sure you don't have a cream tea in the afternoon!!! Thank you,P&R had a lovely break.

Immaculately clean, super comfy beds, large modern bathroom with a powerful shower. The sea view is gorgeous and every member of staff were smiley, polite and helpful! Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you stay here when you visit Deal. The seating outside the pub in the sunshine is an added bonus. There isn’t parking but 5 mins away is a car park and 10 mins is long term parking at Deal Station. Well done to all involved!

Stayed here previously and in room 11,great sea view, room lovely and clean with a good shower, bedding and black out curtains. Breakfast is at their pub. Very tasty and friendly staff. Stayed before and will again. Note to owners- looks like damp appearing in shower room ceiling.

Admittedly the weather was extreme and very nasty but to blame it for the freezing cold room is a bit too ridiculous. The room was not weather proof to the extent that there was quite a bit of snow on the inside sill! Room and bathroom looked very nice but like an icebox. Fortunately I had access to a single doona from a spare bed. To sit in the room I had to wear my coat. For the price I had to pay for single occupancy, I did expect I would at least be warm.

We really enjoyed our visit to Channel view guesthouse. We collected the keys from the Kings Head and they offered to carry our suitcases upstairs for us We stayed in room 11 which had a bay window overlooking the pier The room was clean and cosy with an excellent shower and a heated bath rail and comfortable bed. We were able to adjust the room temperature with the thermostatic radiator valves and the sash window opened easily for fresh air. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious Super local sausages and fresh mushrooms were part of the cooked breakfast and the local kippers were yummy too All the staff were really helpful and we will certainly be coming back in future

Having spent 2 nights at The Channel View, I would totally recommend giving this a try. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms put many a 4* hotel to shame. Showers are fantastic and couldn't find any negatives. We ate at The Kings Arms, next door but one. The food is incredible, Lee is clearly a talented chef. The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The business is run by a family who clearly care for their guests and staff. Breakfasts are brill and Karen who serves them is a lovely lady who has an excellent sense of humour. An additional bonus is everywhere is dog friendly, they are given bowls of water and I'm sure there is an occasional treat too!

Lovely, warm, comfortable room with perfect sea view. When you enter the building it is well decorated, maintains its character and looks and smells beautifully clean and continues into the room. We had a twin room with sufficient storage for clothes. Lovely big bathroom with superb shower. Prefect sea view from the window. We stayed for 2 nights but would have stayed longer. We ate at the kings head which is 2 doors away and owned by the same lovely family. They are so warm and welcoming you feel immediately at home. Cannot rate this highly enough. Stayed with my mother and would definitely return.
