Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

lovely stay for 5 nights with beautiful weather. I was looking forward to booking for 2024 but the £10 a night price hike is rather off putting. I think there might be a lot of campers thinking the same and bookings may suffer accordingly

I visited Solley’s ice cream campsite, and some how had managed to book the wrong date without realising but was accommodated with grace, by the staff of this lovely campsite. I had an enjoyable stay and extended it without any difficulty.

Amazingly friendly family site, owners can’t do enough to please. Ice cream a very tasty bonus, other food in the cafe is fantastic and the separate bar an added treat. Love it here, just like coming home.

Spacious site, very rural with good dog walking available without having to drive. Not my favourite place during school holidays because I enjoy solitude, hence I loved it mid week, mid term. Excited to see the microlights fly in from France so that the pilots can have an ice cream and coffee! The ice cream parlour is good and it's tempting to try to sample every flavour, I didn't manage it. Staff very friendly and helpful. I'll be back.

This is a difficult review as there was so much right about the site and so much that could be improved. So let me just try and summarise things. Good elements 1. Site - lovely area and nice space on the pitches. Also tractor rides etc which was lovely for children 2. Ice cream parlour - nice addition 3. Aerodrone - amazing to see small planes and a helicopter and a micro lite. 4. Friendly staff and a great bar onsite No so good 1. Completely inadequate facilities. There were a lack of showers (2) and one was tiny and the tray filled with mould. 2. The washing and toilet facilities were sparse, not over clean and in huge need of a major uplift. These facilities are reminiscent of places 20 years ago. So overall we had to mark this in the middle to reflect a great site but poor washing facilities.

Spent three nights here with the granddaughters. They absolutely loved it and were upset to leave. Grass pitches are spacious and there is lots of room for kids to play. Ice cream is to die for and the kids loved the maze and the tractor ride. A visit to nearby Betteshanger park is a must. Probably needs some more toilets and showers but we will definitely be back next year

Solley's Icecream Farm is a lovely place to stay. Ice cream wonderful. Very good cafe open for breakfast & lunch, ice creams until late afternoon. Staff very helpful. Good walks. Quiet roads for cycling locally. Not too far from coast.Near to Deal & Walmer. Local pub for evening meal within walking distance in Ripple. We will be visiting again soon, thank you so much.

We have just returned from a lovely week stay here. So welcoming and friendly. Lovely site and very clean. Pitches were large and it was never over crowded. Cafe was great and very tasty and ice cream was amazing. The planes going out were an added bonus, the kids loved it . Tractor ride was great and superb walks. We will definitely be returning next summer.

We visited for one night as a family and really enjoyed our stay. Very welcoming quiet site in beautiful farmland, with great ice-cream and breakfasts & lunches served in the cafe. Would definitely come back for a longer stay- an absolute gem.

Absolutely fantastic camping site. Excellent value for money. Ideal for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Nice little cafe with hot snacks and of course, ice creams. Active airstrip on site adds a quirky little interesting feature. Great pub just down the road with good selection of beer and large menu. Thoroughly recommended.
