Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In Faversham to visit family members. Stayed recent Friday night for B&B. A delightful town centre Inn with very comfortable ensuite bedroom. Excellent breakfast - set us up for the day. Will definitely try restaurant for dinner next time - it looked first rate. Very good staff - this will be our place of choice in the future. Make sure you get a spot in the small roadside car park. Good value.

Just fabulous. The room was pure luxury and made a welcome break in the midst of house moving. We had a perfectly prepared lunch and in the evening enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to a wonderful live duo. The music stops early so as not to inconvenience guests.

We both had their Sunday Lunch. The Beef was outstanding, roast potatoes excellent. We also ordered the cauliflower cheese which was the best we had ever tasted anywhere. The staff were very friendly.

Had a 'Family Lunch' with two teenage girls (never easy to please) and quite honestly the best in North Kent. Meat was cooked to perfection, service was 'totally on call' difficult to fault. Liked no service charge on the Bill = tip/service of own choice +++

Room ok but had no sleep as ridiculous Brigg green light on fire safety light constantly. Only realised when it was too late too move. Miserable experience. I am not first to complain looking at reviews. Sort it or don’t sell this room! Place is ok but this and translucent bacon at breakfast ruin this place!

Stayed here in early June for one night. Excellent service when booking - all queries answered promptly and politely. There a few car parking places directly out side the hotel and we managed to get one when we arrived just after 3pm. The room wasn't quite ready and so we were directed to the courtyard where there was a nice friendly mixed crowd of people listening to a local singer. After a long trip from Manchester a few beers in the sun was very welcome. The twin bed room was clean and perfectly good with tea and coffee etc., The bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful. Although we had booked a an evening meal we had a few hours to explore Faversham - what an interesting and charming place! I can't believe it hasn't been the set for a historical drama. We went back for our meal - and it was way above our expectations. The quality of food and the range of dishes was excellent. We were expecting pub grub but this was high-end bistro style but reasonably priced. Following the meal we had another stroll in the town - its 2 minutes away by foot - and each pub we went in was very friendly. All had outdoor seating. For breakfast we went for the full English - and it was again really nice with portions that were just right. If we could have stayed another night we would have but we had to attend a wedding at The Cave Country Club down the road. Highly recommend this lovely little relaxed place - staff friendly and helpful.

From start to finish Tania and Nicky would not have been more welcoming and helpful. They are super attentive to detail but do so in a relaxed way that makes you feel as if you are truly visiting their home. Breakfasts are great and the buffet at the event I attended was possibly the best range of options and flavours I have ever had at a buffet. It is clear that the staff are happy working at The Quay which says so much about the quality of the professional environment that Tania and Nicky have created. I highly recommend the hotel and would love to return with my family. Thank you for a great stay!

Three of us stayed here for 3 nights. Bedroom 1 was marvellous - huge four poster bed, spacious room and large bathroom, plus a roll top bath in the bedroom. Very minor point - water pressure is poor. Room clean and warm. The other room in the attic was also great. All rooms are different, all characterful, all clean and reallly nice welcoming and comfortable. All 8 rooms were occupied whilst we were there but we heard no noise so slept really well. Breakfast was limited but fine - cereal, full english (including veggie option). As much tea and coffee as you want. Great service. The evening meal was superb. Perfectly cooked venison, guinea fowl (usually tough in my experience) was soft and tasty and the steak was one of the best I've had. This family-run pub was a real find. The owners were great and all the staff so friendly and efficient. They are aiming at the gourmet-pub food market and in my view should succeed. It was excellent value and a great stay - I rarely risk staying in pubs because of mixed experiences but I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this one both to stay, and for a special meal at a more than reasonable price.

We had a lovely time staying at this little gem of a hotel. Staff were very professional and super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Perfect location to explore charming Faversham as it is close to the centre as well as the Creek & Standard Quay. The room was clean and beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful and tasteful touches - not to mention the gorgeous roll top bath in room one and an enormous and insanely comfortable four poster bed! A carefully selected and locally sourced menu is offered in the restaurant accompanied by an interesting wine list. Service and food were impeccable we will be back very soon.
