I was looking for a quick stopover before travelling on to France the next day. Arrived at 11pm. There was a very clean and comfortable en suite room available at a very good price. I assumed that it would be too late to find a meal but to my surprise they were able to produce an excellent Thali. The restaurant,...

We stayed a couple of nights and although the staff were helpful the accommodation was awful, paper thin walls and couples falling out at 2am wasn't pleasant with my young family. Terrible clash of businesses in one building. A sports bar downstairs one side and a Nepalese restaurant the other. The bar was terrible and I was so put off...

Very attractive facade, lovely old buildings. Very friendly and imaginative decor in the bedrooms and en suite. We love it and will return as soon as we can. Also I will recommend it to my boys who love Goan food.

We stopped in here for a drink before going somewhere else for something to eat. If I described it as tired it would be generous. The chairs (as we found out) are literally falling apart. The decor is appalling-paintwork chipped, walls damaged etc. The tables were sticky, and despite being the only people in the place there were empty glasses...

This may be an old hotel, but the welcome, service and delicious Thali cuisine far out-weigh the slightly tired decor. The bedroom was very clean with everything need for the night - the bed was extremely comfortable and the linen crisp - the bathroom was spotless, with fresh towels and complimentaries. Since I was leaving early the next morning, they...

Newly refurbished rooms which was very clean and comfortable offering all the expected facilities. Charming, helpful staff. I often pay considerably more than this for considerably poorer standard accommodation. I would definitely stay here again if I was returning to the area.

Great location in Hythe . Reception needs organising . Rooms are being updated and re decorated. Staff very friendly . But forgetful. Asked twice for extra pillow to no avail and a working bed side lamp also no show . Breakfast was excellent if you like a traditional English breakfast. All in all a pleasant stay .

My wife booked this hotel last minute to visit friends in Folkstone. She payed a very high price for one night's stay. I thought it had better be good for a booking for one night over £100 plus. When we arrived and looked at the front of the hotel in the high street my heart sank. The place looked tatty...

I am driving around, staying every night somewhere else in the south of England and went there without knowing any ratings - and I am glad I didn't, because I might slept somewhere else. After I saw them, I felt the need to share my impressions, because they do differ from others. Everyone was very friendly and obliging, the room...
